Haven't heard the young protesters shouting for it, but I dunno if they've been too focused on prisons or if I've just not been paying attention. Psychiatric wards for youths aren't good places to be, considering the staff isn't skilled. Dunno how it compares to jail. They just put TV on for a few hours and expect you to get better. Alternatively, you get a fancy one where you get treated like a test subject and kids start smashing their faces on walls. Staff dunno when kids are hurting themselves for the most part. Shit, there was a girl I met who pulled up her sleeve and her arm was rotting. She'd scratched it to the point and didn't change her shirt/bathe, so it was gangrenous. Staff didn't know. No protests about that. Curious priorities, the lefties have.

Psychiatic wards for youth have a bunch of problems such as the aides can't do anything really to protect them selves, the other children, or even the one acting up. My friend who used to work at one (the same one who was a CPS worker too) couldn't touch and had a hard time controlling a kid who would always break windows and get glass to use as a weapon to self harm and to (attempt to) harm others. Its a cluster fuck, but at the same time the family didn't have the resources to take care of the kid them selves.
