Current rumor is that he was going to try and start an alternative streaming service and/or it is business related. Either that or criminal.
I think it's business/alt-tech related for reasons I outlined above.
If it is criminal, it's probably not anything MeToo-related otherwise we would've seen some virtue-signalling on Twitch's part by now, or people like Zoe and Anita would've started claiming victory for their "Gaming Me Too" crusade they've been trying to start.
Those are two canyon sized "Ifs" when it comes to scenarios.
True.
I think everyone jumped the gun and assumed MeToo because this happened pretty close to Chris Avellone and a few others getting busted, but I doubt it.
Dr. Disrespect has mirrored shades and a 1970's mustache, not hipster glasses and a 2010's beard. He just doesn't really strike me as the soy bearded egg male feminist sex pest type, and everyone knows his aggressive manic "Ric Flair of video games" persona is him playing a character. If Dr. Disrespect was getting MeToo'd, they'd have made a point of highlighting that.
If he was guilty of sexual offenses, we would've known right off the bat and they would've been as public about it as they possibly could as opposed to this intentionally vague cloak and dagger bullshit.
If it's a criminal case, I'd expect something that's a felony but is also boring white collar stuff not conducive to your typical cancel culture like fraud or embezzlement
