That was me at first. I grew up on the Bible Belt and was at loggerheads with Fundies well into adulthood. Maybe some atheists just need to grow up. But, yes, I think this explanation is a reasonable one.

I disagree, You had liberals caring about "Feels" before A+, When I was in college back in back in the late 00s in professors in debate classes reprimand people for "offending" some one, same with in my philosophy class (Islamic student got triggered by the class discussion on Terrorism), Political Science (some one saying "Modern Feminism is Hillary Clinton saying 'women are weak and must listen to me'. ", and in speech class the two Islamic international students gave a speech saying how "Congress needs to make a law saying you can't even think hateful thoughts", In High School I was involved at the State level of a high school community service group we were being told not to clap by the liberals in the group, and insead snap our fingers later after all of this it moved to jazz hands. The warning signs were there for a long time but A+ just put all the pieces of the puzzle together

Paradise Lost isn't Christian canon, but it's a very good story about Lucifer and his exile after rebelling against God for the sake of gaining power. It's like a teenager going "fuck you, dad!" on a grand, biblical scale. Looking at CHOP and shit makes me think these people really believe "better to rule in Hell than to serve in Heaven".

There was in the 1980s, the Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie which led to Liberals being heavily critical of Islam. The thing about the Satanic Verses is that the title of the book probably made muslims believe Rushdie was trying to rewrite the koran as when you translate it into Arabic, the same context from english does not follow through. It led to a global chimpout by mostly muslims. Maybe this BLM is following the examples set by the protests over the Satanic Verses.
