It doesn't look at all like the case to me, but even then they'd need a very big lift, which takes more time and money.

They're not making the blocks impossible to move, but they are succeeding in wasting more taxpayer money.

I think this would be a terrible idea. The Democrats will portray it as 'OMG TIANANMEN TIMES 1000'. If I were him I'd say it was up to the state/city government to request the National Guard. Which they won't do, so CHAZ will continue and the public mood will turn against it. Then, if I were Trump, I'd run campaign ads tying Democrats who made speeches about how it was the 'summer of love' and how the police need to be abolished cut in with the shootings, grime and chaos that is CHAZ.

CHAZ is an albatross and Trump should hang it around the neck of Biden and the Democrats. You can see from the most recent shooting that there's no way they will be able to sustain the notion that it's a peaceful block party until November.

Nah you can get the forks under there. The process of removal was going to cost money anyway. They're just going to have to bring a different machine from the local vehicle annex to do the job. Worse comes to worse you pop the forks onto a backhoe and you're off to the races. These protesters didn't accomplish much of anything besides building the case against them.

Lets face it if Trump does nothing he will be shat on, if he does something he will be shat on. I was merely saying Trump has the law on his side with out a doubt should he decide to act.

Trump already started with the attack ads on Dems, so I could see him using the videos of "SHOOT ANY SUV YOU SEE" and the "Oh you're still alive do you want to get pistol whipped *bang*" videos on a follow up ad.

Probably figured it was "safe" to joyride their stolen Jeep around CHAZ becauase "no cops, lol" and figured they could dump it there and thus avoid any incriminating evidence. It's sadly ironic that right before the lights went out on them for good, as they writhed in pain, I'll be they were wondering "yo man, where the police at?! We're getting killed!" and the "incriminating evidence" cleaned up was that which could have solved their own murder.


I've oft-mentioned I have an old cop car for a daily get-around car, with the current temperature out there now, I do wonder, in the back of my head, if some CHAZ admirer is going to just have a Pavlovian reaction to a white Ford sedan with a window spotlight and brick my windshield or set it on fire while I"m in the Target.... it's added a perverse kind of victory to coming home unscathed every day.

This last murder is at her feet completely, because she wimped out when the CHAZites laid down in front of the garbage trucks and she couldn't bring herself to order someone to use the excessive and immoral force of grabbing them by the ankles and pulling them out of the way.... They aren't unable, they're unwilling, big difference.

"unable" means an earthquake or other disaster has disrupted infrastructure and order to the point the police WANT to stop all the looters, but can't.

I dont' think that section covers noodle-spined galaxy-brain blue mayors who can't bring themselves to reign in their own kids, nor should it.

That would open the door for justifying a federal response when the issue is just "not being as tough as I would be" twisted into "clear inability to enforce law". It wouldn't take long for the first democrat President AFTER that precedent was set to send in the NG to arrest "white nationalists" who local cops "are incapable of reigning in for constant online hate speech" You DO NOT want to go down that road, my friend. This is a local issue, and it needs to be left to fester until they fix it or succumb. Didn't we plead for years for something bad to wake up the blue cities? How many people here constantly say "I wish they'd fall in the ocean" ? And "let em rot if they ask us for help"?

Well. It's happening now, and the very same people are now saying "Well, aren't we gonna help them?" "We can't let them run wild, it makes us look worse for not controlling it!"

If you read the law, you would see this:
The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it—
(1) so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or
(2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.
In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.

This covers the entire CHAZ/CHOP issues It doesn't cover natural distasters, 10 USC § 253 is part of the Insurrection Act.

Also when the cops try to enforce the law (e.g. murder cases) they are met with resistance, obstruction of justice, disobeying lawful orders issued by an officer, and evidence tampering, by the CHAZ/CHOP people. Fire/EMS is unable to get to help victims because of CHAZ/CHOP refusing to let police to enter to secure the scene.

We are talking about murder here, that has also technically now is spilling outside of CHAZ/CHOP boarders. Muder by the "Security" forces of CHAZ/CHOP outside of their so called "jurisdiction" this isn't about destruction of private/public property. Sure the Governer could call in the NG to close it down, The sheriff can call its offers to shut it down, and the mayor can too, but all three levels for one reason or another refuses to do so.

The effects for them are more dire than him, provided they can't put HIM in the musical-chairs game if he refuses to play.

As I said somewhere else on this forum (I don't remember where) I am just saying if Trump does act he is 100% lawful in his actions under this section of the USC. I am not in total support of the Feds responding (at this time, I suspect they are watching stremes and have boots on the ground gathering Intel and evidence on the ring leaders), but it needs to be made clear before Trump acts, it is because the City, County and, State refused to act and allowed violence to get even more out of control.

Jenny Durkan, my mayor, literally did not comment on the incident or pretended it was a barbecue until the millisecond Trump commented on it, at which point she was saber-rattling on twitter about how great it was and daring him to intervene. The same is true of the governor, Jay Inslee, who actually had the audacity to claim he wasn't aware it was going on a couple of DAYS after it started when the press finally got around to asking him.

Anyone screaming "SEND IN THE TROOPS" in all seriousness is either too autistic to see what's going on here, concern trolling, or some idiot in a cubicle in Virginia trying to incite violence.
