I wish this was the case. I checked the social media of people I figured would take the media spin and run with it, and lo and behold, they're all doing it. People that were raised Christian denouncing Christians for going to church while sharing the articles saying protests prevent the virus. Don't underestimate people on this one. I would feel sympathy for her because I do think it is stupid for someone to be fired for a social media post (although she was flirting with inciting violence -- but I think most of us could tell she was just a poser trying to act badass).

Deloitte is a big 4 accounting firm. It's a decently prestigious post-college job. Based on her major, I'm gonna assume she was working in the consulting division which can be very high power if you do well but also is probably (just an assumption here) more hit-or-miss for career advancement and turnover than their tax accounting and auditing divisions.
It's also a huge government contractor. Making aberrant public statements threatening violence is a great way to get your clearance pulled. Most big contractors won't keep an employee on the books while they go through the appeal process, they just fire the person and replace them. Which, incidentally, removes the individual's basis for appeal. So if what I think happened, happened, she's going to have a hard time getting a job emptying trash cans at a national park for a while.

NPR actually slipped up the other morning when talking about how, and suddenly for no reason, the percentage of young people in new cases has spiked. Someone in the science community, clearly apolitical which was their error, in a telephone convo soundbite casually mentioned "the youth have been cooped up and took the opportunity, going to things like bars or participating in protests." just before it cut off. Makes me wonder if it was a mistake on NPRs part but who are they kidding, they and the rest of the MSM/SM aren't fooling anyone.
But I've said this before about it: these people are pissing on your leg and trying to convince you that it is rain. If something smells like BS, looks like it, reads like it, and sounds like it... common sense prevails here. There is no way that millions of kinda-masked, not social distanced people shouting into the air and hacking up tear gas didn't spread Covid exponentially, without invoking Bible-tier miracles and a clear proclamation from God himself that BLM/leftist protests are his Chosen People. To think otherwise is to operate on Jonah being swallowed and living inside a whale for days batshit.
Also an academic journal's covers are not a barrier to political influence and any individuals publishing or pushing "academic" "unbiased' "apolitical" "studies" such as this deserves to be put on a scientific blacklist.

I'm optimistic they'll do half the shit they claim. The only way it'll happen is if only BLM has cameras, and don't live stream. And the so called journos (read live streamers) are shunned and kept away from the action. Then BLM sells the footage to the MSM and they edit it to show BLM dindu nuffin and wypipo egged them on. These live streamers allow the public to see the raw unedited footage and make their own decisions. BLM's narrative only works when they have total control of it.
