Well the Arvi person Billy paraded around is real. I in one point runned around same circles and while I'm not sure if I ever met them, I do know people who have. What I could see from Arvi's social media and internet activity is thay are very private. Bearly posting anything that wasn't just art. So to fair Billy could just being actually good hubby that is respecting his parter's wish to not to be online.

Oh, there's no doubt that Arvi exists. The big question is how much of Billy's relationship with him is real. And I sincerely doubt that there was even a real relationship, let alone a proposal, a marriage, a honeymoon, and a life together in Finland. There is absolutely no reason to take Billy's word for any of it, there's not a shred of outside evidence, and he seems to forget where he's meant to be living and how he's meant to be happily married on the regular.

At best, I'd allow there might have been some kind of marriage of convenience, for citizenship. But that's at best.

Don't get me wrong, I have my strong doubts about the relationship but I also believe being fair. How Billy talks about the relatiship doesn't strike me as that odd. I have been around finnish art and especially comic scene for long time. I know what the relationships can be there and lets just say that sexless relationships of convenience and ego aren't rare. People being together because they want relationship and this person is theoretically is right type (right politics and into art and anime), but actually feel little to nothing to eachother. Still these people tend to be friends and live together so they try to be nice and respectful. Arvi is privite individual on social media so could have put a gag order or the relationship is basically dead and Billy doesn't want to talk about it. I can see both happening.

Labelle also wrote comics about how men in drag were awful because they made trans children afraid to come out. It’s a cult technique - create a confusing, conflicting and unspecified set of rules so your victim can never win, only mindlessly submit.

Anyways, his rant about Canada which Sophie endorses, this argument is stupid, and it's virtue signaling. Our ancestors did not have the knowledge we do now - they had no idea of the impact of what they did, at the time, they had to expand, it was how it worked. You can't just go and give Canada to the first nations, the country will go to shit. My opinion is that reserves should be introduced within the country as some kind of municipality. I don't know exactly how it should be put into law, but that would at the very least enable them to get access to proper water and power lines, and allow the entrepreneur of the lot to start businesses, get loans. There are some recent actions from the government (the schools and the even more recent Oka crisis and RCMP stuff), and we clearly need to fix things up, but holding grudges for the action of literal (more like illiterate) colonists is dumb. Or, they could just decide to assimilate, I have a very utilitarian point of view where you do what you must to improve your life, loyalty to your culture be damned. Culture isn't gonna put food on my table.

Today we had a similar rant from Mathieu Bock Côté that essentially says: Quebecers are not Canadians because Canada oppressed us, as if he can tell me what I am. I don't give a damn about Quebec or Canada, I will go in the place with the highest living quality I can get. The troons are celebrating victory too quickly, feeling enabled by this, but there will be a fallback from the people not happy for censorship as a whole. The culture war has been going on for a while and it will only get worse.

How is this "nation state" any more artificial than any other group? They have unified laws, the "imaginary" borders are enforced by armed guards, a military force to protect the citizenry, a system of voting to say how everything is used, and countless other real tangible proof that the government exists and does stuff. In comparison groups like race, LGBT, or whatever else the writers likes are much more fictional. There isn't any gay prison where the gay guards put people who break gay law (outside of forum moderators), armed racial groups are typically known as "gangs", the tranny gestapo remains in the imagination of the insane. All those groups are much less real than a nation state. Hell, saying you're "Canadian" explains more about your culture than saying you're "Gay". A gay Canadian will have more in common with a heterosexual Canadian than he will with a Chinese homosexual.

They realize that you do choose the country you live in, right? They say they're not proud of it because they where just born here when they choose to stay every day. If you want to give Canada back to the natives you can just hand your house to some homeless guy, fill out some paper work, and move to Europe. If you don't want to be a Canadian you can stop being a Canadian.

I don't know if he got himself banned from the page or not by now (if he's not banned now, then he definitely will be in the future). He doesn't interact with Labelle himself, but with Labelle's fans (because Tom is a pedophile who's casing tranny Facebook pages for new victims.)
Just letting you know it's something to look out for.
