Even if Cantwell himself can't afford to pay the (outrageously high) per-minute cost of phone calls from the prison where he is staying, the cost of an occasional phone call would still be low enough for his fans and followers to easily crowdsource, for Cantwell to call certain people collect.

When he was in jail last time over his Unite the Right shenanigans, he was still making podcasts by, IIRC, calling people who would record the calls and put them on his website. That's when Cantwell started playing up the whole "I'm a political prisoner" and "Live from Seg" thing. But nothing like that is going on this time. Is it because Cantwell is not allowed to make ANY calls other than to his lawyers? Or is it because this time, he doesn't have enough people willing to even pay for the calls, let alone record them and put them online?
