What utter bullshit. Lived in Edwardsville for several years, many years ago. There were black people living in town. Carbondale? Another university town, had black people. Waco, Abilene, and Amarillo, TX are not small towns. Population in the six figures. Of course black people live there.
And as far as I am concerned, if someone doesn't want to date someone of a different race, that's their right.
The harder the action, the harder the backlash. BLM has succeeded in alienating many potential supporters. Suspect it is only a matter of time before there are violent reactions. The national level of anger is already very, very high.
Added: I know I don't have infinite wisdom, but for the life of me simply cannot understand all the racial incidents I see, normally a white person saying unwarranted mean things to someone of another race. Saw one last night where some old white woman was harassing a young Asian-ethnic lady stretching her legs on part of the steps in a public park. I give the young lady a great deal of credit for not knocking that old bitch into oblivion. Don't know if I would have been able to show the same restraint. This stuff isn't necessary. I live in an area with all races represented. Get along just fine since I treat people with courtesy and respect. Not rocket science, people. Unless someone is bothering you, why should you care what they are doing? It's a hell of a lot less effort to be polite to people than it is to be unwarrantedly mean to people.
Yapping even more, if you sit back and think about it you have no idea what role people of other races than your own play in your daily life. Maybe the truck driver who brought the food to the supermarket was black. Maybe the pilot of the airliner you just took across the country was Asian. Maybe the person who fixed your car was Hispanic. Maybe the firefighter who got your ass out of your wrecked car was Native American. Maybe the doctor who saved your ass when you ended up in the ER was Arab. Can tell you for sure that all races are represented in our military. Personally, if I don't like someone, it has nothing to do with race. Assholes come in all colors. And so do good people.
