I assume by "comfortable" you mean "gets to play gacha undisturbed for a long time"? Because he's been the "getting $200 he wants every day to play gacha" kind of comfortable for quite awhile and you've seen how THAT has gone.

Pure speculation/possibly giving too much benefit of the doubt, but it might be less about shielding and more about trying to gather content. When a cow comes into their own thread, the general rule of thumb is to go "light" on them to get more content, then when that gets old, treating them like the cow they are.

With certain cows, it is a good idea, but not relevant now. It was vaguely interesting seeing the earlier Discord messages when we were first uncovering it was Phil, but he wasn't dropping any personal details or anything then, and he certainly isn't going to do so now that he's frantically running from guild to guild trying to get accepted.

Basically, if they're shielding Phil to get more proof it is him, they're dumb. If they're shielding him to try and get funny content, they're misguided. Phil's wrestling addiction seems to be the one escape he gets from being Phil. Normally, finding a cow's discord conversations is a fantastic way to get material because they tend to lower their guard and go on rants/drop previously unknown personal details because they're someplace they feel safe and think they are talking to friends/loyal followers. Phil just uses it as escapism/has no friends, so there's no reason to play the long con and try to get a mole in the server.

not to advocate the shielding of Phil but:

1. It gives Nigel more time to do his thing.
2. Phil will know the end of his time in the faction is drawing close but he won't have a clue when. He might even leave of his own accord or the minute the faction feuds are over.
