I do remember getting ads for something called ColorWorld for virtual meetups. They might use that.Oh shit it just hit me that they may be using Zoom for this. I mean, how else are they going to host a virtual convention?
Not only did they post their schedule on instagram, but they did it at HORRIBLY low resolution so trying to read it as god awful. I can only assume it's better if you actually have an instagram account? (I don't)The full schedule is posted on the website, but apparently they are on Instagram posts (off to a great start).
Registration is advertised as free.
TBF, the largest anime convention in the country is traditionally on July 4th weekend. Actually, as a bonus they are also doing an online event (AnimeExpoLite) this weekend, that alone makes this the stupidest idea imaginable.Who has a convention during 4th of July? I may be a weeb, but I'd much rather be out at a BBQ than watch this bs

Oh wait, sorry, I didn't take into account that they have an interview with "King Vader" who made some cringey ass MHA youtube video. Well, that'll bring in all the non-spergs.
Is there even a specific time for the event tomorrow and Saturday?
Just from the announcement alone, this looks half-assed.
Oh God is it going to be all directly through the Funimation website?

I've seen nothing that has stated that it'll be streamed on Funimation's YouTube channel (maybe the streams will be uploaded there later?), so that seems to be the logical choice.
Given how Funimation's record has been regarding its own streaming service, well...... let's just say there could be laughs to be had.
Imagine if the first thing you see is Jamie Marchi's or Monica Rial's face once the initial and laggy buffering ends.I've seen nothing that has stated that it'll be streamed on Funimation's YouTube channel (maybe the streams will be uploaded there later?), so that seems to be the logical choice.

I'm guessing they're pulling in okay numbers, right? Did there seem to be a lot of viewers?Poked around for a little. Nothing out of the ordinary. The streams seemed to have no issues. The chat seems to be standard shit posting.
No numbers so I can't really quantify it, but chat was moving fast enough that no could see that I'm gay.I'm guessing they're pulling in okay numbers, right? Did there seem to be a lot of viewers?
Seems run of the mill, albeit through a stream. I didn't detect much connection issues, though I watched in chunks of 5 minutes or so since I was at work. I was mostly looking at chat to see if anyone would sperg out. With Day 1 coming to a close, anyone got any comments about it?
For me, it was about what I expected in terms of stream connections (very iffy).
