I’m always annoyed by the abundance of internet-goers with the “it’s happening!!!” mindset. People tend to get off on the thought of uprising and revolution, whether they support it or not. could never get into GC because of the hysteria. i live in a place that has no troon acceptance, but also has no strict laws around public bathrooms. i've been in many situations where someone is using the wrong bathroom for whatever reason, or even in places where no bathrooms are labelled and you just go in whichever one you choose, precisely 0 sexual assault happened in any of them. most people won't assault you because... most people simply don't assault people. even if it's a man in a woman's bathroom.

Agreed, while it's super rare, it's very understandable to parents to hear about the 1 in 1000 kids that gets felt up and propositioned. We had a girl at our highschool get asked over to a sliding van door, the guys were trying to go sharking girls and get them to flash for a girls gone wild video. A dumbass parade, to be sure, but it definitely showed a few parents that they weren't necessarily completely safe in the neighborhood.

I do think it's NBD for diff. people to use bathrooms, in plenty of spots I've been they've been mixed, I think the real issue is size. With enough traffic there's less fear of sexual malfeasance, but then the parents could accompany them. (Although I'm pretty sure it's totally normal for parents to assist kids in the restroom regardless of genders?)

If you look at the upvotes posts get on r/MGTOW, it’s still a sizable place. Or at least has an engaged community. And it was already quarantined, which does mean that Reddit deems it ‘dangerous’. r/consumeproduct was skewing MGTOW, hating on Onlyfans and the like, but not nearly as much as MGTOW, and it was the one got the hammer.
So my question is, what made MGTOW stay but others leave? I have no idea, it’s not like Reddit really gives any reasons for what’s going on besides ‘hate speech’.
And banning r/rightwingLGBT while keeping the some TERF and GC subreddits was a strange move. Apparently, according to Reddit, not liking the T is ok, but liking both cock and guns is a step to far. It could be because r/rightwingLGBT didn’t exactly like the Islamic countries treatment of gays, and we can’t have Islamaphobia in the wholesome community that is Reddit. I don’t know, but I’m loving watching this ban wave.

2) Likely has a huge audience that visits solely for that sub, and few others. Every guy I know and speak to avoids reddit unless it's something like MGTOW, Porn Fetishes, or an obscure forum for a dead car platform and it's the closest they can get to centralized subs. Reddit took a look at the numbers and found it would actually drive away the 18-34 demo of guys, which is a good advertising target. Those guys sure ain't going over the r/makeuptips or /penis_tucking_trix.

They'll get rid of it soon enough, likely in an "even" manner like this where they knock out one of the women's ones.

reddit admins are allergic to any kind of transparency or consistency. if they outright said "the rules are this, don't do x and you won't get banned" it'd be at least more moral and consistent than this waffling about, and promoting the site as "bastion of free speech" when they never gave any thought to what free speech is. they only do something about a sub once there's media attention and bad press, and they always do some pussy half-way measure because they're limpdick faggots who would never make any definite statements.

I get the suspicion that this is by design. Major platforms ban the most publicly undesirable people first, who then flock and overwhelm the best alternatives. Those alternatives then get blasted for upholding their free speech policies and not banning the undesirables, thus tainting their brand image and becoming unappealing to the public.
So in the end you must either become undesirable yourself, or bow down to the same policies that the major platforms are implementing and become a cog in the machine.
