Official Physical Health Speculation & Cancer Discussion - hulthy just big

Serious question for medfags:

Those pressure cuffs they put on people's legs during surgery and sometimes while they're in bed, the ones that inflate and deflate: do they have to special order fat ones for Amber types? Her legs aren't just fat, they're all misshapen and fucked up. Will the cuffs even work on her with the fluid problems she has?
I would think that would be impossible. They're going to have to treat her legs as a whole other issue with that lymphedema.
Thinking of all the different ways the nurses and physician are going to handle her. She will definitely be a special case. And not in a good way.
I am thinking the Dr told her shelf ass to lose some weight and her ego won't let her admit it.
Looking at her in that walking vid- she's as massive as she was last summer.

Edit: I'm half ass asleep and hope this isn't too fucked up. :hah:

Gynecological oncologists are particularly notorious for their sternness in telling patients that they have to lose weight. Mostly because they can’t do much until the likelihood of death from cancer is so high that it outweighs the surgical risks on a super morbidly obese patient. Also because they can’t even do in-depth medical imaging on these patients. The only solutions available so far, like the dreaded “Open MRI’s”, are very rarely, if ever, acceptable for a gynonc, and its the only way super morbidly obese can get an MRI. Pelvic and Abdomen CTs, Transvaginal U/S, MRIs, Eyes to mid-thigh PET scans (if insurance allows), and U/S guided needle parasynthesis are pretty standard in this field. GynOnc offices can’t do anything for patients without these images. Super morbidly obese patients can pretty much only do ultrasounds which are very limited in what GynOnc specialists can see.

I believe that she thinks that losing 1-2 weeks is all she needs. She still does not think that she has a weight problem. When we see her walking in her last video, it would not take much for her to become bed-bound. Doctors can do so much but when the patients still believe that "they know what works for them", they become lost causes.

There is no way that Amber would tolerate a Transvaginal U/S, they are fucking horrendous

Looking back at one of her old videos, guess she should have avoided meat and dairy if she didn't want all that pussy puss.

I saw another one in a compilation where she was talking about how she watched three vegan documentaries. I don’t know which one she was talking about but she said something like “veganism can cure cancer”

it did not age well

I would honestly try it if I were her. I’ve known someone that went vegan after finding out she had cancer and while I don’t know that’s what cured it, she seemed like she had a way easier time dealing with the treatments and recovering from surgery. She did go into remission but I won’t say that was her diet because idk

I mean, there’s a lot of data out there about the benefits. The best time for amber to start eating better was every other moment before now, the second best time is now that she is diagnosed with cancer (allegedly). It would kill two birds with one stone. She’d lose a lot of extra weight and probably suffer less. I can’t imagine having such little self control. I can’t imagine what it’s like to live being completely controlled by fast food.

I'm not a proponent of vegan, being of the opinion that any way of eating that requires supplementation for essential nutrients ain't right.

That being said, even the most bizarre version of vegan would be a hell of a lot healthier than the way she eats now. Meat causes cancer!!! Breathing causes cancer if you live in the wrong area. She never talks about the cancer risks of the essentially processed, additive laced garbage she consumes.

Vegetables can't cure cancer. That's a myth put out there by the proponents of woo, along with other nonsense like homeopathy (water can't cure cancer either. Or anything else except thirst) reflexology and all the rest.

Big Albert is as dumb as it is possible to be and the last thing the dozy cow needs is any form of magical thinking because she's absolutely prone to it, as we have seen as she falls for every quack diet going. The last thing she needs is to even think about going vegan when she is ill, has not the faintest clue about nutrition and would still manage to make it unhealthy anyway by eating processed, fat-laced garbage.

It's an incredibly strict diet change that has to be carefully managed to get anything like the appropriate nutrients from the very limited foods available, and to potentially starve even your gigantic body of vital nutrients whilst dealing with any sort of illness is pure bonkers.

We're a bunch of wankers who are neither use nor ornament but she reads here and if there's one thing she should do, it's trust in objective, tested, repeatable science. Cancer treatment isn't pleasant and she's in for a rough ride but if there's even a hint of an easier option, she'll go down the road marked Idiot. She's never consumed lettuce in her life; now is not the time to start eating it to the exclusion of all else. And we know she'd not stick to it anyway but along with the magical thinking she's fully capable of taking the reward without putting in the effort. The slightest hint that something like veganism will cure her and she'll announce her "vegan journey," maintain it for two minutes but fully expect the reward of the cure, whilst using it as a mental deflection to park nasty old reality in the cavernous halls of denial in her fat head.

Grumpy Clanger is grumpy. Mostly cos of the need-bigger-shed thing, but the proponents of these whack theories infest everything to do with medical issues, they are in all the groups, on all the sites preying on the desperate and the hopeless. So if Albert gets just one positive thing from Kiwi Farms, may it be that she not get conned by this nonsense and to trust real, evidence-based medicine. It's far from perfect, but it's a damn sight better than magic.

If her lymph nodes are actually involved, she’ll likely need additional treatment beyond a hysterectomy.
Which do to the fact that they have yet to do any sort of imaging due to her weight they will only know after a biopsy is done post surgery correct?

Woo bullshit never does.

I can tell you right now that going vegan did not, in fact, cure her cancer.

There's also a lot of non-arable land ill-suited for farming, and that's why smart people run animals in those places.

It doesn't matter: she isn't going to change her diet, and she sure as hell ain't going vegan. She also is not particularly interested in investing effort in losing weight. That will not change after her operation.

Lymph node biopsies are difficult. If Hamber mentions lymphadenectomy then they're going for it. Otherwise the surgeon is just leaving them alone.

If she can remember that word and pronounce it I guess.

Back in the 90s when the macrobiotic diet was popular I saw several patients going on it after a cancer diagnosis. One plucky motherfucker managed to reverse cirrhosis with it. So...yeah there's probably something there.

Hamber's problem is obviously her weight. Morbid obesity increases cancer risk but spikes hormonally linked cancers specifically (breast, ovarian, endometrial.) Whatever diet she's eating doesn't really matter because we all know it's orange chicken.

She could have a tumour as big as her head - it may be apparent during surgery that the cancer has invaded the lymph nodes - might be why her legs are like they are

Err, so, are her legs packed with cancerous tumors, or are cancerous tumors on the lymph nodes causing the overproduction/poor distribution or lymph fluid?

even if i dont like her in the slightest, i sincerely hope she would not fall for obvious woo medicine and go to actual cancer treatment even if it means losing (?) her precious hair.
because if she does fall for it, i will actually lose all remaining hope that i have left for her.

I’d think she would have a specialized bed at the very least. Those beds are amazing, they do all kinds of shit, and they are probably expensive as hell if a hospital has to rent one.

I the cancer has affected her lymph nodes it could have caused the leg situation - = just speculation
The leg situation has been going on a very long time, as in many years. I am sure, though, that the cancer situation hasn't helped the leg situation and has likely made it super serious situation type deal now, though.

Yes she would probably be on a good bed in her room but they will still have to get her on the surgery bed/gurney. They don't operate on the same bed.

All I recall her saying is that the surgery was SCHEDULED and was "in a couple of weeks." Most reasonable people would be forgiven for assuming that means she has a specific date.

But Amber & 'reasonable' are diametrically opposed.
