I can see the arguments both Nasser and Mike are making as reasonable. Nasser should have every right to be able to criticize anything he sees fit, including Mike's campaigns. Freedom of speech and freedom from consequences of speech is an essential right that seems to be eroding by the day. As a counterpoint I can understand that Mike feels betrayed by Nasser's comments. The "anti/OG/Comicsgate" community is a tiny pool of individuals and creating schisms or infighting in such a small community is pretty dumb, especially since Nasser was a mod on Mike's channel and they were on good terms.

Personally I don't really care either way. Tim Lim does Trump political parody books already and they are probably much better than what Mike could come up with. Lim appears to be moving away from the Trump books, since this is the final act of his My Hero MAGAdemia series and he's focusing more on Black Hops and Kamen America.

Mike is clearly relying on signal boosting from the likes of Crowder, Dean Cain and the others to make this book a success, trying to tap into their respective fan bases as potential backers. Just like Bless this Mess it is a mistake in my opinion, he should just focus on competing Lonestar.

Icke's brand of "all rich jews are actually reptiloid infiltrators from Nibiru" conspiracy theory is banned from several countries on the grounds of antisemitism and Smiller is packing his comic book with this shit with all it implies (whether he took the time to think twice about it or not) in an ostensibly fun comic for all ages that he is depending on mainstream pundits to endorse.

This is the crucial difference between actual comicsgate and what Frog and company brought. One tore apart Ms Marvel as offensive and bad to readers demanding better. Frog's group tore into it in hopes of convincing you of buying there overpriced comics. Adam Post, Miller, and yes, Frog deserve the same standards of the mainstream. Overpriced comics, poorly made comics, propaganda all deserve ridicule and criticism.

As for Nasser, I won’t speak anymore on the situation since it has already been resolved.

Most comics you buy on kickstarter or indiegogo are going to be overpriced like that and that’s because they usually come with extras every time stretch goals are met. And I myself don’t mind paying the extra because making a comic by yourself requires a lot of sacrifice and money. People deserve to be rewarded for their work. If the product I get is shitty, then I simply won’t deal with that creator again when it comes to funding campaigns. Otherwise, they have earned a repeat customer.
