Plagued Super Smash Bros. Community

Do you guys think that people like Cry, Zero, Sky and all the others have a chance to make a successful comeback like Jared?

When it comes to zero, he actually still seems to have a bunch of followers who will blindly defend him ("everybody makes mistakes"). More than any of the other guys.

I'm still in awe that Jared managed to recover from his disastrous cancelling. In the end, he proved that his wife wanted an open relationship so he didn't cheat on her and he managed to disprove two accusations. But there were way more. He never disproved that he ran a "body positivity" blog on Tumblr where he shared nudes with fans, because that was true. People just glossed over that fact after he made his "no more lies" video.

I just wonder what some of these guys would have to do to make a comeback. Don't think that anyone who's accused of physical assault could make one, but zero and cry, for example, are "only" accused of talking to underage girls online.

The thing is that Jared only destroyed his image.
With smasher here they destroyed the whole community image.
Nintendo never gonna support the smash scene again + everyone will associate smash and smelly pedos.
The smash scene lost a lot of steam and support because of covid19 and this scandal.
They don't have a whole lot to come back to.

On the other hand, I see a lot of similarities between Jisu and Jared's wife. Both wanna destroy Zero's/Jared's career.
Nothing really horrible happened to both. Oh no my husband wanna divorce,he cheated on me and blocked me on twitter. Oh no Zero showed me hentai I have PTSD now.
In the end it's funny but no one should care that much about this. The thing is that both girls use way more severes allegations to gain traction ie:Jared sending his dick to minors and Zero's requesting Cp. Both crazy bitches don't care about victims they just want to hurt Zero/Jared
Jisu even lied about Zero's fiancee age :story:

Judging from other cases in the smash scene like Ally or other dudes getting banned we can see that the smash scene doesn't forgive. Ally had purged his ban yet peoples bitched on social medias when he went to a tourney

I don't even think its a comparable situation. ProJared was just flat out wrongly accused and had evidence to support that. Zero and others flat out admitted that all the accusations were right.
I do just love how people like Jisu, Leffen, whoever accused Westballz, and whoever accused M2k will probably not receive any repercussions for either making or propping up false accusations (in Jisu's case the Vanessa thing, and in Leffen's case he spurred on the M2k shit like crazy to his chat)

I thought all of /v/ was their containment board?

it's because leffen knows that every other time people find him insufferable. he's gonna milk this shit for all it's worth. would be funny if someone came out against him when this is all said and done, but I cant imagine anyone involving themselves with him for that to happen.

I can confirm that. Brought it up within a community I hang out with and got the response that, while Ally and Nairo are shitty for going along with it, it's in incredibly poor form to 'victim blame'. Zack's been through the wringer once before, he knows how this works. I think of it as a 'fool me once' sort of situation. While, again, Ally and Nairo are extraordinarily shitty people for not putting their feet down, I can't believe for a second that Zack didn't know how it was going to go the second time around. "How does this keep happening to me..?" isn't really something I see him seriously asking himself. I'd be more sympathetic to him this second time around if it came out that people were taking him into a closet at gunpoint or drugging him or whatever, but he's leading these people on.

Nairo's a retard for even going along with it considering the history with Ally (though, I understand those two hookups may have been very close to one another or happened before anything came out to begin with?), but Zack could've put the kibosh on him without actually having to go through with the rest of it, and yet he did.

Please dear God let that be true, and deliver a metric ton of shellfish unto him. I've always disliked how melodramatic Hbox is. I've not seen anybody at that level in other fighting games act that far up their own ass.
'I just heard from a survivor of Hungrybox.'. Why do they always use the term survivor? Most rape victims aren't killed so why the term 'survivor'?

Got any clips of Leffen encouraging the m2k allegations? I can't stand listening to him talk about anything anymore.

So men can be cancelled for flirting now? Are we just suppose to wait around now until a woman drops a 'consent to flirting' contract?
hbox cheated on his ex-gf, had multiple girlfriends at once, and routinely would hit on other smasher's girlfriends. dude's twitlonger is going to be fifty pages long at least.

It was just in chat with no mic. To be fair, its not as bad as I remember, but still fucked up that he told his chat to push for a response.

And the new command he made is absolutely laughable. These people are 100% in it for the clout and virtue signalling

I used to find his narcissism funny, but fucking with m2k like that is over the line.

I honestly didn't read it that way from what you posted. It sounds more like he's saying to not assume that M2K is guilty until after you hear his response but also don't immediately assume that the allegations are lies. Kind of a "Wait to hear from both sides before you make your decision."

That bot command is cringy as fuck though.

So something I don’t understand, and correct me if I’m wrong or if this was answered already. It’s common knowledge (at least here in Burgerland) that when you’re accused of something by the cops, you don’t say anything and you ask for a lawyer. Why haven’t any of these spergs, innocent or guilty, just shut up and waited for the accusations to pass?
Because they’re fucking morons who bound their lives to a video game and don’t know how to navigate irl shit. Even doing the smart thing and laying low still means they’ll never be able to compete again, and I doubt a lot of these people have other marketable skills.

What's up all? I was just lurking but I wanted to chime in that I've consulted some legally knowledgeable I know about what the chances would be for the accused in this situation and I think that a lawsuit or two could honestly still have you able to compete long term if you contested any event bans in a civil court. There're dire penalties for persecuting and exempting someone, particularly if they're found as innocent of claims proven to damage their income or social mobility in a previous suit. It just seems to me like MrWizard didn't want to have to swim through that ocean and he's not a competitor anyway, if there's no evidence at hand your prospects are reasonably open ended to my shaky understanding.

edit: and to add to this, things like Skype conversations or Discord logs scarcely ever count in due process, too. They might but I'm not sure.
