As someone who has had lifelong chronic ear problems, what the hell sense does this make? How the hell do headphones provide relief? Maybe they relieve some of the pressure temporarily, but earbuds are awful for earwax.

Lou would be better off getting some sort of cheap ear cleaning scope you can buy on Amazon with some wax softening drops than to wait & let it become so impacted he has to seek professional care.

Louie would be the kind of asshole who would waste doctors time and insured people's money by going to the ER for having too much wax in his ear. Ever wonder why it's so expensive to go to the hospital? It's because of uninsured people like Louie going to the ER, can't afford the bill and have no insurance, so they work it out with the hospital to pay a pittance and the hospital passes they payment off to those who are insured by increasing their costs. Now, I've got no problem with poor people doing that when they really need medical care. I'm not a hearless bastard, and everyone needs to see the doctor at some point. But when it's a selfish, lazy, jobless loser like Lard-ass Louie who go for shit that they could take care of themselves or by going to a general practitioner, then it pisses me off because it's such a waste of time and resources that should be going to people who have real emergency medical needs.

I know I'm in the UK but that is strictly a GP appointment, you'd be wasting the time of A&E staff who have actual medical emergencies to deal with and they'd likely give you a telling off.
