That is very good question but probably the best answer we will get is that most of the heavy hitters did it as a favor and the small channels (the vast majority) where there because they saw an opportunity to expand their brand. Quinton claimed he was in a Discord server for youtubers so the general theory is that at least some of them did it because they wanted/felt like doing it and most others came as friends of friends. Also, most of the cameos are used on the group shot at the end (only one scene) and most of said cameos are channel icons or stills, because Q just asked for people to allow him to use it so the final count of over 90 cameos is very inflated. The cast of Doug’s shitty movies were kind of obligated to take part in his directorial delusions. What does Quinton have over any of these youtubers (other than “do it or I’ll cry”) because I cant see any of them wanting to attend something as up your own ass as Vidcon.
Also Q made that Hamilton video way faster and shorter (sub 20) than usual and it already has half the views of VoidCon. Quinton Reviews is the record holder of Doug Walker's Dead Career speedrun any%.
inb4 he only decided to do it because he knows Lindsay is into musicals.
Stuff you should know if you want to click:
4:30: Quinton applauds Hamilton for not restricting itself to cast actors by race, "it helps kids that might be watching it find their own founding fathers". I wonder how he would tackle white/black washing then.
5:32: Quinton talks about The Help and compares it to how Hamilton can get away with the same bits by casting actors of all races.
7:29: Quinton brings up Hamilton fanart of the woke kind.
8:46: Quinton feels the need to clarify his status as an anti transphobic faggot right after he roasted fanart.
9:09: The first part of the script he leaked on Twitter. Reminder that Hamilton did accomplish the abolishment of slavery in New York. All of this to come to the obvious conclussion that historical figures tend to be dramatized specially when they are being dramatized. He drags this point for five minutes.
14:28: He plugs the bald man from the Leftist Council, Scott Niswander, apparently he was the one with the idea to analyze Hamilton.
14:51: He quotes Anita Sarkeesian.
15:46: He sings for a bit. "I don't secretly hate myself", "I'm not a failure", "I do not have talent"
RaccoonReason appears again as "The eyes I keep in my life".
