Between OnlyFans, liquor and weed marked as essential, all social functions replaced by Zoom, all goods obtained via delivery and the crushing hopelessness of the human situation, I think you're right.I believe Brave New World is a better analogy to these days than 1984. Brave New World was more subtle yet used the themes of futurism mixed with hedonism that really feels like this timeline. Just my opinion, though.
What interests me isn't what I see, but as usual, what I don't see: I can't recall the last time that I saw anyone on this forum who routinely bashes on Tucker Carlson also routinely bash on any other media figures save for Sean Hannity. I don't remember ever seeing any of them drag on Wolf Blitzer, Brian Stelter, Chris Cuomo, Joe "Intern-Smasher" Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski... I don't much care for Tucker either and Hannity's an annoying fear-monger, in my opinion, but the fact that the animosity only seems to flow in a single direction is definitely curious when so many of these other personalities make enormously misinformed statements or they even outright lie on a daily, sometimes hourly basis. Why do people assume that all conservatives are dumb, uneducated and poor - or that it should be a qualifier for being conservative? That sounds like the kinda shit commie retards would think.
The sad fact is, liquor stores needed to stay open because if they weren't the boozehounds who developed a dependecy on it could die if they suddenly didn't have it, medical weed is a thing too, to help control pain, and side effects form chemo and other drugs and sicknesses, and with the demonetization of oxy and other strong pain killers weed is some times people's only "legal" option.Between OnlyFans, liquor and weed marked as essential, all social functions replaced by Zoom, all goods obtained via delivery and the crushing hopelessness of the human situation, I think you're right.
Tucker speaks truth to power. He fearmongers, but he's using the truth. The truth is the most powerful weapon we have against the tide of insanity right now. That is what makes him a target for everyone. It doesn't help matters that Tucker's program is the most watched news program, period. https://archive.vn/4G8coWhat interests me isn't what I see, but as usual, what I don't see: I can't recall the last time that I saw anyone on this forum who routinely bashes on Tucker Carlson also routinely bash on any other media figures save for Sean Hannity. There's a big, fat laundry list of people in the media who are worse than Tucker Carlson by every conceivable measure, and yet he's the focal point for a pretty significant chunk of the hostility. That's a little bit strange, to me.
I actually disagreed with some of this. But that's ok. Intelligent people can disagree.Oh wow.
That is how you argue against someone. No need for slurs, lies or made up injustices. Just brutal truth.

Well, that and the culture of parents coddling their fuckspawn, not even allowinfg them to bawl their eyes out for a bit and self soothe, the fact that feeding on demand, never letting a baby get used to schedule (seriously, Huxley even covers and mentions specifically this, he makes a point about shortening the time between desire and fulfillment so it's basically nothing) destroying the family and seeing to as repulsive, the fast fashion industry?? Anyone? Clothing made for fucking pennies by actual slaves?Between OnlyFans, liquor and weed marked as essential, all social functions replaced by Zoom, all goods obtained via delivery and the crushing hopelessness of the human situation, I think you're right.
Personally I think people like her are barking up the wrong tree.I got older (lefty) friends with kids that are crazy mad at US public education right now. Corona was the last straw.
One woman is an ex-teacher and left teaching for a corporate job. She explained that her school district only allowed the kids to connect to the school's online teaching portal for 2 hrs per day, due to surgeon general health guidelines for children 'screen time'.
She had to burn all of her PTO and vacation AND take a pay cut in order to work from home, babysitting her kids. However, the admins and teachers (and janitors!) retained full benefits, pension, and pay. Additionally, contracts in her district are being negotiated for a 12% increase -to essentially work less than ever before. This is one of DOZENS of stories. The lefty-adjacent female allies are turning 180' on their Teacher Union brethren. Communism is fun, until you lose your job b/c the teachers won't watch your damn kids.
99% of public education is child warehousing - so the parents can work. If this bullshit continues in the fall, the US public will unanimously vote to disassemble the worst and most expensive education system of all developed nations.

Given that the vast majority of students that already dont do well have 0 motivation and most kids have atrocious maturity for things like education, that hurdle is going to trip up the vast majority of school students. Most of these kids will have no one on site to help them.I actually disagreed with some of this. But that's ok. Intelligent people can disagree.
1) Distance learning IS learning, and IS effective - provided there is a 'learning coach' or teacher on site, and is engaged with the student. Also, a student must be mature enough to accept responsibility for their education. The US system currently is one rote regurgitation and authoritarian rule. Union teachers are ineffective at distance teaching - I agree with that. There are other models to teaching, though (gasp!)
2) Lack of schooling causes depression? What about the depression CAUSED by schooling. I know many Americans that state their experience was a living NIGHTMARE.
3) While it is true that most sexual abuse occurs at home, most physical abuse occurs at school.
Points I agree with:
A) Chaos is the goal. The consultants have told the dems that they will lose in Nov, they have been exercising the nuclear option since April.
B) Pandering to the teacher unions is helps dems. The last thing dems need is an independent Dem-Soc splitting their vote.
C) Fake science is a shield used more and more. I see CNN citing studies that condemn masks and tout masks at the same time.
Remember that article that came out saying if you swat your kids, they lose IQ points or some shit like that? I couldn't have just imagined it in some fever dream. Really doubting how truthful it was atm.Well, that and the culture of parents coddling their fuckspawn, not even allowinfg them to bawl their eyes out for a bit and self soothe, the fact that feeding on demand, never letting a baby get used to schedule (seriously, Huxley even covers and mentions specifically this, he makes a point about shortening the time between desire and fulfillment so it's basically nothing) destroying the family and seeing to as repulsive, the fast fashion industry?? Look at the actual state of the world. Huxley was a fucking prophet
I don't really get the hero worship. Tucker talks like a fag and he's rich so why do all of these alt right alpha chads love him so much?
Its part traditionally public employees are paid less but the benefits more then make up for it (but that has been eroding away fast, to shit pay shit benefits), where private sector use to pay more with decent benefits (to shit pay shit benefits mostly too).Personally I think people like her are barking up the wrong tree.
Instead of asking "why do teachers get all these benefits" they should be asking "if a public school can afford to maintain pay and benefits through this, why cant multi billion dollar corporations and medical institutions do the same for their employees?"
It's the same with insurance. Fantastic health insurance is cheep enough for the public schools to give it to their employees. There is 0 reason outside of greed that any big company cant match what the schools offer.
Is nobody going to say it...? Gay Obama is just Regular ObamaTerry Crews being a centrist is not enough for Gay Obama.
He did not anticipate #EpsilonLivesMatter... in Brave New World, nobody made excuses for retards and the elites respected Western culture. Don't worry, what we have irl is worse than the fever dream of even the most visionary dystopian author. Imagine living in a more exciting version of some of your favorite novels! We are blessed.Look at the actual state of the world. Huxley was a fucking prophet

FUCKING PREACH.Its part traditionally public employees are paid less but the benefits more then make up for it (but that has been eroding away fast, to shit pay shit benefits), where private sector use to pay more with decent benefits (to shit pay shit benefits mostly too).
But I agree with your whole point.
The union I was in, is corrupt as shit (at least my local) they only cared about sucking up to the company and expanding to WalMart, they wouldn't fight for the worker when it came to unjust firings or OSHA safety violations. The rep wouldn't even show up to meetings where employees were getting fired.FUCKING PREACH.
The turning of the public against public sector unions and unions in general was due in part to their corruption, and in part due to political forces looking to weaken the individual, to make them more dependent on the system. They played up the "us vs them" with things like pay and benefits and fucked everything over.
And now, in the middle of this panic, I bet a LOT of people wished they had a union to fight for their employment and fight the woke mob's accusations. The police unions are the only thing standing between police and their thought control mayors.
I'm just going with who originally brought it forward. I've no doubt that other politicians were bribed or fooled into going along with it. Bribery and foolishness are defining characteristics of politicians. Don't forget, a lot of people only supported it because they were specifically told time and time again that it would have absolutely no effect on the demographics of the USA.Hart was Irish Catholic and Johnson was Disciples of Christ. Truman's commission on immigration included a monsignor and the president of a Lutheran seminary. Plenty of blame to spread around.
Ah our old friend the UFCW. If any group of people deserved Corona, it would be the UFCW big wigs. Perhaps they should let a black woman get fired to get BLM on their asses? The union I was in, is corrupt as shit (at least my local) they only cared about sucking up to the company and expanding to WalMart, they wouldn't fight for the worker when it came to unjust firings or OSHA safety violations. I get so much shit pointing out that Police unions are not evil but act as a union should, fighting for the shit and good employees. If your union just lets people get shit canned with out even an eye brow raise (aka the bare minimum of "why did you fire X?" "here is the documentation and evidence..." "Oh okay yeah it was justified") there is something really wrong with your union.

The depression I think they are coming from humans being social creatures. Bullying sucks, but most kids still have some fond memories, and that socialization helps set them up for the real world. Virtual learning will not provide the necessary education for social situations, and most people will begin to develop depression when isolated from their peers for too long. Virtual meetups dont provide the same fulfilling stimulation, much in the same way social media doesnt stimulate the brain properly leading to all sorts of fucked up behaviour.
