There's a guy on fightcade who used to harass me for dickpics constantly and threatened to go to an event I considered attending just to kill me. He's, a character, there's enough credibility to shades of his insanity that it warrants maybe speaking about sometime if I can compile an interesting enough receipt from my experiences. Actually, he might be a good example of a pet or personal lolcow of mine as I actually used to find traits of his endearing and though I do have some solid evidence of his absurdity, he might be a serviceably entertaining read even without it. Can't knock me for thinking even an unsourced write up of the guy would be worthwhile look when he's just so crazy I can hardly believe he's an actual person himself. My dealings with him from voice chat, to in game, to on fightcade were... If Chris-chan is a rabbit hole then this guy was like a labyrinth. None of the conditions for dealing with him in a way he considered fair were consistent with each other and though I did leave with some concept of what he'd want out of a 'friend', those rules were so grossly outnumbered by toxic and random behavioural traits that they honestly are not even worth accounting for.

Online fighting game communities always have a bunch of lolcows in them. Like I mentioned a bunch of pages back, the Virtua Fighter community on VFDC is nice but there's a couple of characters who are massive spergs, including a group of them who pretend they're cool kids with a sekrit club, then there's also some guys who have been beefing for about 2 decades now and talking shit about how they're gonna take the other down in the next local, but neither of them ever actually show up. That's why some beefs have been going for that long.

It got so ridiculous. Funny that all the people interested in creating even a FGC alternative or founding a new scene of some kind end up wanting dickpics and trying to blackmail people. It's like you can't make a fighting game community unless you're like MrWizard. Maybe that makes me like the Mikey/crackpr0n of the operation, although admittedly it fell through because I wasn't showing him my dick. edit: Oh yeah, I'll add that he's completely unaware of the consequences of the shit he was trying to do as well. I did my bestest to make him morally aware of his behaviour but apparently he's got to the ripe age of 37 being just this braindead about the entirety of it all.

And yeah. VFDC was a goldmine in the day. VF revival has some strange folks, on the discord.

100%. There's one particular Bedman player in the GG scene who leaps from chat to chat complaining both about the current state of Xrd and one character in particular just send him into fits. He gets extremely aggressive any time somebody disagrees with him and inevitably gets removed from every community he's invited to. I'm not going to name him because I actually can't help but feel bad for the guy (he has serious brain damage on top of being severely autistic), but I would wager that anybody in the english speaking GG scene probably knows who I'm talking about.

I hate when the opponent decides to use chat in the MIDDLE of a match, that's so fucking obnoxious.

Reminds me of this guy called neogoemaster who frequents the SuperTurbo room. He's known to everyone in that room as "The French DSP". He will get into a match with you, you start doing good, will F2/F3 the game in the middle of a match, demand that you pick a different character and if/when you don't, he will quit the match and say "YOU ARE A CHEATER WHO USES AUTOFIRE AND MACROS TO WIN" even though FBAlpha will outright tell the other person if that is true or not. And if that wasn't enough, he uploads his playthroughs on his youtube channel and titles them "X is a cheater who uses macros and autofire"

You're right the later 3D entries upped the sex factor, especially 9, but it's still just not on the level of something like DOA in my opinion, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.




It's enough to make you want to retire from this hobby, shit just ain't much fun anymore when it's surrounded by such a toxic culture, part of the fun of gaming used to be calling yourself a gamer, feeling a part of a cool community.

To me "gamer" always meant something like "biker", it wasn't just a hobby, it was a way of life, man!

Maybe that is the future is it becomes a completely disreputable thing for outcasts from mainstream society, I mean it's already been like that for a while basically, but SJWs have been trying to change that, if they really give up though and fuck off (hopefully) they'll never stop smearing the name of gamers and invoking Gamergate as a boogeyman.

I was being kind of silly when comparing gamers to bikers, but at the same time I'm being kind of serious, that's what it may wind up like.

I agree that there shouldn't be anything wrong with using gamer to describe a person who's primary hobby is playing video games, but it wasn't the trannies that slapped connotations onto it. To me, people who describe themselves as gamers fall into the same category as broads who think they're somehow unique because they're fans of the office or harry potter, or "I love to travel" types. "Gamers" are the types who get all dick hard when a chick is into Zelda, watch Ready Player One several times in theaters, and wear obnoxious gamer paraphernalia. They're a target market and nothing else, and it's just kind of sad to see people with such a lack of self that the persona they push forward is one that is essentially purchased.

Third Strike is the Evo Moment 37 game, of course there will be a lot of bandwagoners in that game. Personally, I tried the game, but I really didn't like anyone but Dudley. Even Ryu felt weird to me, and I main Ryu.

I remember when I played the first Injustice game when it came out on PS3/360. Every other ranked/player match I played and won in, I would receive salty hate mail just for playing the game normally. Even more so if I played Deathstroke, but I wouldn't blindly spam guns and be predictable. I only picked up DS because every DS I went against was extremely predictable and I was like "If he's so easy to beat and yet everyone hates his playstyle, why don't I use him in a more unconventional manner?". Hello. First of all, I don't suffer from brain damage. I do have mild autism. I don't get aggressive cause people disagree with me, it's because they would rather treat a person like shit over a game. Whenever I say anything, they get on me for it, just because I honestly think Xrd could have been infinitely better. I've had MANY civil discussions with people who have disagreed with me.

The fact is, it's hard to have any civil discussion with most of you. You people lie pretty often, you insult anyone you have a chance to. You know the stuff on the news? That stuff was no surprise to me and I'm actually glad I'm not part of their community. Look man, say what you want about me, but you don't really know me. I'm some guy on the internet who talks to you, yet if I told you I've trained many GG players who have actually become really good now, would you believe me?

Have you ever heard about when GraspingOne helped MikuRockShooter? Or when he helped Starman? Or when he helped several other Guilty Gear players? Of course not. Cause all you care about is the bad stuff. I'll leave it at that.
