This is why the debates need to happen. Trump needs to question Biden’s policies head on. Biden’s tax policies will probably drive the more fiscally conservative people away from him.

The content of the debates might not influence voters, it could be an appearance contest ala Kennedy and Nixon. In the Nixon/Kennedy debates people who listened on the radio thought Nixon won while those on TV thought Kennedy won because he was more relaxed and his team had prepared him better for the cameras. Same could happen with Trump/Biden, Trump could end up the most hated man in America who everyone blames for losing their jobs, but if Biden appears old, weak, and senile on live television or God-forbid has a medical emergency on camera then thats it for him. Biden could have well researched and articulate points, but if he can barely stand and starts drifting off into cuckoo land at one point then his Presidential campaign will sink like the Titanic.
