U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

Understood. But $1s are just to small to be profitable. Maybe the destabilization angle has some merit, though.

Everything China has been doing for the last 10 years or so has been aimed at destabilising the USD. They want the yuan to be the global reserve currency, but there's too much trust in the dollar for them to achieve that within Xi's lifetime. China holds a lot of US debt in treasury bonds, which they can use as some leverage against the US directly, but selling treasuries won't crash the USD and actually reinforces its position as the global reserve currency. Destabilising the currency within the United States would be a far more effective way to reduce trust in the currency as a global reserve. Flooding the US with fake, low-denomination notes will make people lose trust in cash, and given a lot of people still hold savings in cash rather than in banks, that's a lot of money that will suddenly be perceived as worthless. It could also create a potential inflationary pressure by increasing the apparent money supply, especially if a lot of cash-savers decide to try and guarantee their savings by placing their potentially fake money into a bank account to convert it to "real" dollars. It'd be like a sort of reverse bank run.

I have no idea why I was quoting something else there...

Nope not to do with caring about stickers. Just a matter of disgust towards someone who offers not a single thing to any conversation.
It's a little harmess fun for snailslime. You know how when you go out to eat and you let your kid play with your phone to keep them busy so the adults can talk? It's like that. If she really doesn't have anything important to say, it's best just to let her play with the stickers. Plus it makes her as happy as a fat kid with a piece of cake and in these dark times everyone needs something that brings them joy.
Tim Pool pointed this out and it happens a lot these days. Too many people think the bullets can't hit them if they can't see the dude aiming at you. When he was in Keiv, he and the Ukranian bodyguards and journalists hid behind cars or hit the deck the second they heard gunfire, while various other journalists just sort of stood up and around staring.
I remember a story of a young kid that was killed a few years back (on the 4th of July) because some people were shooting guns into the air to celebrate and it came back down and hit a kid in the head. It isn't as harmless as you think to shoot into the air when there are crowds of people out.

You are correct. Systems will always evolve/create a problem they cannot solve. In this particular case people are abusing the goodwill of the citizens.

I think someone is going to have to break the rules. They will have to bend their code of ethics to "handle the problem." Someone will have to sacrifice their reputation and be the monster required to save the system.

It would be better to dump the whole stinking system and take the consequences

In this case, on stream a lot of people didn't see the gun, thought it was fire works, a lot of people who saw the gun thought it was fireworks because of the muzzle flash, apparently a lot of people don't know muzzle flash is a thing, and think fireworks are safe.

while sort of autistic, I did too notice snailslime was rating things dumb and I'm not really sure why, for example deeplyhigh's post was informative--a dumb rating usually means the poster is being dumb, and deeplyhigh is a fine young lady of outstanding intelligence like all the women on the farms are
Seems like she enjoys baiting people and it seems to work lol

I wouldn't be surprised if George was a smurf for some operation like this, where they'd send out a bunch of losers like him to pass counterfeit money all in one day, bring back the change, and they'd get drugs in return. It might explain why they'd actually bring him in for what seems like a pretty nothing charge on its face.
They in this sense being a counterfeit operation the police are aware of? I was going to ask what you think about Chauvin being in on the counterfeit operation but the transcript reads like Floyd had a good chance of dying no matter what Chauvin did.

Honestly I think police just pass on any info they have on counterfeiting money operations to the Secret Service, as counterfeiting is in their jurisdiction.
If Floyd didn't die chances are the Secret Service was going to be paying him a visit.
