The Mysterious Mr. Enter / Jonathan Rozanski's "Growing Around" - IndieGoGo Campaign Failed, John going off the deep end, "Turning Red" is ignorant about 9/11 (later retracted)

So Mr. Enter went from a let's player, to a cartoon reviewer, to a writer for his utterly incompetent book, to being a fucking husk of his former self, effectively going on a downward spiral mentally and is slowly but steadily losing it. This character arc is just like Spoony. Now all we do is wait for him to roleplay his dead dog on Twitter.
Who would have thought a Kickstarter failing would effect a man this much.

Honestly he should have known better since the book didn't make ANY money. Why would he think there's enough demand for GA to fund a $350,000 cartoon when he couldn't even make back the $800 or so he invested in the book?
I think his belief was that the promise of a show would help advertise it by itself.
There’s a lot of weird concepts people have about Kickstarter, when usually for games and animation they only succeed because of the names attached.
Everyone uses shovel knight and hat in time as big successes, but they both gave exclusive demos to influencers. And in animation you’ve got Bee and Puppy Cat with Frederator backing and Long Gone Gulch with had industry vet’s getting their friends to spread it

Looks like he had a few conversations with Enter. Looks like they're the sibling of the Madoka patron.

I'm just catching up with recent developments and forgive me for bringing this back up, but I have to ask, who the hell are these people and what estate are they heirs to, for one to chuck that kind of money at Enter for exactly zero ROI and claiming he is not interested in getting a refund, and the other to offer paying for a complete rando's therapy (a complete rando that just fleeced his sibling, mind) at a private practice to "restore the family honour"? Are they some sort of turbo-spacker Thyssens or something? Quick Enter, don't waste the chance and offer them the GA executive producer roles! All three would get their happy ending!

>if Enter had a son he would name him Stephen. Yes, there is a GA character named Steve and yes he does crossdress
I stand by what I said before about that one being the less abysmally constructed character (from what I've seen so far, at least.) And still his character arc involves forced sissificaton and most certainly some genderspecial discovery down the road.
I remember seeing a post where he explained character names and said the meaning of the name Stephen was a major spoiler, so I reckon he'll get some sort of vindication from something in the end? right after murdering Sally

Wait, wasn't Mr. Enter that one guy who refused to go to college, because he was afraid of getting raped? Why would he be so worried about getting raped on campus? No one is ever going to want to touch him with a ten foot pole, let alone actually wanting to rape him.
i dont think it was that, nor do i think he said something like that. he just thought college was stupid and useless or something if i remember

He believes that college was treated as the end-all be-all and was terrified of the idea of going to school for four years for a specific degree only to find that your ultimate career path and interests don't align with what you studied for.

What Enter fails to understand is that nobody says college is the end-all be-all and that it's not necessarily a bad thing for your career to not be what you studied for. I've come across plenty of professors and successful people who studied for something completely different. It's about the connections you make and the opportunities a degree allows, not so much what you studied for.

Geez Enter, there’s this thing called dental hygiene. You ever heard of it?
He was never taught how to brush his teeth, and he doesn’t like the taste of mint so he doesn’t want to use toothpaste.

There’s partial truth. He claimed he didn’t want to go to college and used the constantly debunked rape statistics as a justification that college campuses aren’t entirely safe. He didn’t intend that to mean he was afraid of being raped, but he probably thought revenge of the nerds was an accurate portrayal of college life

Thanks for making it clearer for me. I distinctly remember him using the rape statistics as one of the reasons why he chose not to go to college, which either way he really is overacting. Even if that was the case, he has no need to worry because like I said nobody would want to touch him. I doubt anybody in college would want to mess with him unless he gave them ammo to use against him. Also I forget that Mr. Enter only had exposure to the real world only through television and films, which it would make sense that he thinks whatever he see on tv is what will happen in real life.

Ironically, going to college would have been the best thing to happen to him. He could take some creative writing classes and make connections and he'd probably have a fun time learning in a more free environment compared to high school. But no, he probably got it in his head that college is 24/7 frat parties and money-grubbing professors who don't hold an intellectual candle to the writer of our generation: Mr. Enter.

The dude desperately needs a dose of reality that college would have provided. I mean, look where being a youtube cartoon reviewer got him.

At least he spared someone the horror story of being his roommate. On the other hand we might've gotten some good stories out of it.

I wouldn't mind hearing stories from high school classmates though. Or even middle and elementary school ones if we were really lucky, but these are just pipe dreams.
I don’t think he was able to stand out enough to make that happen. John was probably the quiet kid in the back of the room, but not the exceptional kind.
And if his high school was anything like mine, all the autistic and special needs kids were segregated to a small building on the far side of the campus. Even mostly normal autists got sent there

Would he have even been able to get into a college? I don't know how it works with autistic people because it's not like he's full blown head-slapping retarded but he seems like he has enough issues with enough things where it's not like he would have been able to just waltz on in like an average person.

I went to a small college initially and there were quite a few autists, some of which I'd say were somewhat more severe than Enter. They weren't like full blown low-functioning, but you could clearly tell they had autism.

If Enter wanted to, he could easily go to a smaller, more accommodating college because they let in people worse off than him.

Anybody wanna volunteer to archive the Growing Around indiegogo vids and streams? Those are probably on the chopping block so Enter can save face when he does his next crowdfunding campaign. I've got the half hour pilot commentary one but downloading 10 hours worth of streams would take forever on my connection.
