Is that site any good? I just assumed it was all Trump circlejerking. I'm trying to find all the lost content that isn't Trump related that died when the left decided their websites must remain ideologically pure.

Other people made their own clones of that, like the metacanada post above. The people who were only there for 100 keanu chunguses just took it up the ass and liked it, only the political subs left. The best full-featured alternative is voat.co, though saidit is another ok clone.

It's a stable and well-run website with a good implementation of the reddit backbone. If redditors hadn't turned it into a boogeyman it would have a wider variety of opinions. Compared to the other alternatives it has the best track record of staying up and staying funded.

I just want a place where people are talking about random things that aren't politics, like the web back in the early 2000s. Imagine people chatting about hobbies, retro gaming, movies, hiking, sports, anything really. People getting along for the most part and sharing info about stuff they find interesting.

At this point you're better of finding discords for specific interests I think. Places like Reddit ban any dissent and is basically a giant echochamber, Twitter is filled with attentionwhores and most oldfags have probably left 4chan by now. And other websites like facebook and instagram aren't really made for discussing specific (non-political) topics.

There are some more niche imageboards like 7chan, but those are really small, some bordering on dead.

Ofcourse there's still here, the Kiwifarms. But I think specific discords are your best bet. But damn, sometimes I miss the old internet too. Before everything was political, when jokes were jokes and when you could always talk about hobbies with likeminded people.

Sites like Reddit got ruined by crazy troons and radical progressives. There's nothing "normal" about those people, they're the same kind of spergs that have been online since the 2000s at least. Back when Reddit started out they literally had a subreddit called /r/jailbait full of paedos. The site was always full of sick, disturbed people, they just started coming for conservatives in 2016 so we started to notice them.

I think it was probably that Reddit saw Balkan people insulting each other and immediately thought of 1990s war crimes and banned it. They also banned places like MoreTankieChapo that just have extreme political content and don't mock Africans at all.

It's even more bizarre since it's on the r/horror sub given the subject matter of most horror movies (lots of focus on the gore and exploitation depending on the era). Dude is definitely paranoid, people might draw back at an all horror collection but usually it's due to the negative stereotypes that surround it from people that don't care for them. Most people wouldn't consider those movies listed as something only a pedo would have, maybe if your collection was loli anime shows and nothing else, but the types that have those would never have another living being visit their living space in the first place.
