Don't touch the cows, faggot.

OK, so I'm a bit late with this, but I just found out what was meant by the "racist parade". My sister has friends that live in the area, and the subject of corona shutdowns came up, and she told me about what happened in Westcliffe over the 4th of July.

Apparently the town shut down the annual 4th of July parade on corona fears, so a pillar of the local community organized a "protest" in response. The protest was very well attended and people brought American flags and other patriotic stuff along as well. So that's the racist parade: the local community deciding that they wanted to celebrate America.
Kevin basically considers anyone who disagrees with him a bigot at this point.

I respect those people's right to assembly, but I think it's kind of melodramatic to have a protest because a parade was cancelled. Like... you can still celebrate Independence Day-- just have a barbecue and light some bottle rockets like those of us schlubs who don't live near parades or fireworks shows.

I'd agree with your point under normal circumstances, but this COVID shitshow left most people with a need and a desire for an outlet. And considering all the protests in the big cities were deemed "a-okay" with "normal" parties and events postponed or outright cancelled, they too were right to a certain extent.

On a more interesting note though: What is with this movement of only needing to diagnose autism when you want disability? Shouldn’t being diagnosed and getting treatment be more important?

But getting treatment means getting better. And if you work on getting better, how can you use Autismo for your excuse to be a shitty person and use it as your crybully cudgel.

Autism: It's the new "Shut up!"
