To me, feminists are those who direct attention toward the unequal treatment of women and work toward solutions to make society more egalitarian in regard to sex/gender.

SJWs, in contrast, usurp concerns about unequal treatment of minorities to direct attention to themselves and satisfy their own victim complex.

Much like Brianna's weiner, she has feminism inside out. She has earned the SJW label.

You deserve every gold star in existence for that!

What really stands out to me about GaintSpaceKat's web page is that the longest, most detail page is the one talking only about Wu.

His history, well history as he sees it, is like a terrible novella.

Let's run through the claims:

Wu has described herself as, "barely a feminist" when she started the company in 2010. She wanted to create games with strong female characters, but believed it was best to "just do a good job and don't make a big deal out of it."

I think we don't need much intelligence to know that Spacekat is a vehicle for Wu's self-aggrandisement.

Games released: 1
Baseless claims of oppression issued via the company Twitter account: Infinite

Working in the game industry, Wu found herself frequently frustrated by what she described as the "boys club" mentality in games, which was much worse than any of the other industries she'd worked in. This was reflected in the tone of their first game Revolution 60, which featured an all-female cast of special operatives, in a game many describe as having strong feminist overtones. Revolution 60 shipped in July of 2014 to critically acclaimed reviews from Macworld, Kotaku, Gamebreaker, 148Apps, and others. A sequel is currently in the works.

Which industries? She was involved in animation because her parents bought her a company, which she ran in to the ground. She's kind of in games now, with other people's money paying the bills while she has others do the work so she can devote time to Twitter. Has she ever had a salaried job or founded a company with either her own money or money that didn't come from her parents or her husbando?

Over the course of shipping Revolution 60, Wu found herself speaking more and more on what women were experiencing in the game industry. In 2013 she wrote a critically acclaimed piece called, "Choose your Character," for 'The Magazine' outlining the culture of her studio and how she'd changed over the course of leading the company. This led to speaking roles at tech conferences all around the country including the keynote at i360 in Denver. In 2014, Wu was speaking on women in tech issues at PAX East, and writing critical pieces on the lack of women voting for game of the year. She also wrote, "No Skin Thick Enough," for Polygon, a piece about the daily harassment of women in the game development industry.

This is entirely accurate. She's spent most of her time playing games or picking fights on the web and then crying foul when people react badly when insulted by her self-serving accusations. Edit: this is entirely accurate if we replace the word "women" with "Brianna Wu", as so:

" Wu was speaking on Brianna Wu in tech issues at PAX East, and writing critical pieces on the lack of Brianna Wu voting for game of the year. She also wrote, "No Skin Thick Enough," for Polygon, a piece about the daily harassment of Brianna Wu in the game development industry."

In 2014 Wu also launched Isometric, a games podcast with a majority of women voicing their perspective. This was quickly picked up by the prominent 5by5 network and quickly became one of the most listened-to podcasts in games. She also hosts Rocket on Relay.FM.

Yeah, you're right. How is Isometric one of the "most listened-to podcasts in games" yet doesn't seem to break the top 100 of any list I could find?

http://podbay.fm/browse/games-and-hobbies

http://www.stitcher.com/stitcher-list/games-and-hobbies-podcasts-top-shows

And on Steam, how many followers does Isometric have as a curator? 310. This would place them as the 291th most followed curator. The top 10 range between 69708 and 485386 followers. Even Feminist Frequency has around 8/9k followers, for reasons. Wu herself has 620, placing her in 255th place. Isometric, like everything Wu does, is at best a minor footnote in gaming. Absolutely nothing she does can succeed on its own merits - it must instead ride the oppression train, which in gaming requires a first class ticket aboard the Gamergate express. Fortunately Wu has always had people around to pay for her ticket.

Wu. Stop right now, you fetid sack lying failure.

This is the third fucking time you've done this bullshit. Each and every time, you're fucking called on it, and, unlike Anita, you don't have the cover of a big-league PR firm to spin your nonsense. You are now clearly and intentionally going after games you know have established fanbases in order to provoke them. It's fucking blatant and obvious, and you're doing nothing but piss people off.

Yeah. She either has a learning disability that affects her comprehension abilities, or she's blatantly provoking people. It's funny that she's chosen to bitch about FF6 out of all the FF games, since that one is notable for two female characters. While the argument can be made that FF6 has no main character, Terra and Celes are both starting characters (Terra at the start of the game and Celes in the World of Ruin)and undergo character development. This is one of the reasons that as a little girl, I really loved this game.

I vaguely remember the whole Celes/Setzer thing. Setzer was infatuated with Maria (the Opera singer) and was making it well known that he was going to kidnapp her during the show. The main characters swap, Maria with Celes and Setzer ends up kindnapping the wrong woman. If I remember right the most that happens is a "Ah, ya got me! Sneaky bastards switching girls on me. K'scool. I'll lend you my airship." situation. In fact, Setzer's true love is a lady pilot called Daryl. /endFF6spegout

How did Wu interpret that to be sex trafficking? I don't understand how she can still have credibility among certain groups.

To those talking about Wu's latest posts about games she's never played, keep in mind that she claims her favorite FF game is VIII. That should really be all you need to see there.

Wu has a lot of gall complaining about the SJW term when if it weren't for utter crazies like Wu, the term wouldn't have even been coined. "Social justice" might even sound like the good thing it should be, because hey, what's wrong with justice? Instead, it's a buzzword that identifies crazies.

All I can imagine is her yelling at poor, blatantly nervous Frank...

"FRANK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! NO! MY GOD, JUST GIVE IT TO ME!"
*snatches controller in mid float and Yoshi dies*
"FRANK! LOOK AT WHAT YOU MADE ME DO! STUPID MAN! GO TO YOUR KENNEL AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DID!"

Yeah... Something like that.

Is this a new trend in the feminist community? To refer to a deity they don't believe in as a woman just in the hopes of annoying someone? Or are they invoking the Goddess of their newly formed religion? One that has all demons as white, cis-het, dudebros and all angels as obese women wearing horn-rimmed glasses.

>that moment when you realise that you are so cucked that you can't even play vidya without becoming a part of your partner's autistic identity politics tirades

EDIT:
@Furina How about "whipped"?

Frank's not a cuckold because Brianna isn't cheating on him (as far as we know). I'm not sure what a better word would be, but he is definitely under her heel. We know that Frank had a domestic violence issue before he met Brianna, so I guess his current relationship is him making amends for all that. He's going through hell to atone for his sins. I wonder how Brianna would react when he suddenly sees the light and breaks free of her? Probably a Twitter storm for the ages.
