What's happened with Lovesick recently? Lewdwig or whatever aren't there anymore and it just seems like more and more people are leaving and the situation is growing more and more out of hand.

Suddenly remembered that many years ago, back when Alex's biggest worry was his game being banned on Twitch and the drama hadn't caught up to him, I e-mailed him and told him that he'd probably get unbanned from Twitch if his game didn't feature underage panty shots as a currency and he basically told me to fuck off because it was an "important feature"

I don't even think the teacher-student anime trope is as common as he thinks he is. If you're not a degenerate, most school life anime you watch would be free of this shit. It's usually cute school girls and the occasional hot school boy.

The concept could work, but not how Alex has handled it. The protagonist should not be sympathized with or romanticized. The player should despise Yandere-chan. The entire tone of YS is an absolutely atrocious mess. There's absolutely no cohesion to anything. He crams as many anime tropes as possible in there with a light-hearted, bright and colorful anime atmosphere while the player graphically murders high school students. It's a high schoolers project. And in all honesty that would be fine if not for the fact that it's SUPPOSED to be edgy and taken seriously. Even DANGANRONPA, notorious for its goofy humor and over the top anime character designs still understood atmosphere and tone. And a "hated" or "EVIL" protagonist CAN be done very well. For the sake of an anime comparison, look at Death Note, but Yandere-chan is hardly a character to begin with. She's fetishbait.

All of these weens telling Alex to an hero himself are only further encouraging his obviously-transparent "woe is me" rhetoric and the intensifying of said shitstorm.

All of this incredibly-petty drama should make it crystal clear that THERE WILL BE NO GAME.

I'm very convinced that Yandere School was just a fluke. I went asking round in the discord about plot and world building for LoveSick, and got 'we ain't gonna do spoilers' which leaves people with absolutely nothing to latch onto to keep interest going (at least for me, anyway). Looking through the chats is nothing short of boredom inducing, but as a previous kiwi said Witchere is a wonderful artist who should definitely take over the person drawing tubbies so I'll be lurking some more. LoveSick is so far in the shadow of YanSim still...hasn't even changed the major colour palettes for the menus.
