Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Filioni writes villains like idiots because he can't comprehend the idea of a villain fighting intelligently, using quick wits, careful planning, and a bit of luck to overcome a challenging foe like a hero would. Much like his high-vaunted ideal of the Jedi, he underestimates the abilities of those without the Force. In the olden days, we had competent writers who could show precisely how bad of an idea this mindset was, both in and out of setting.

Remember when Admiral Daala was the bottom of the barrel for Star Wars OCs?

Pepperidge Farm 'membas.

Daala at least has the excuse of literally being retarded and was under qualified due to attaining her position via nepotism (Holy shit I just realized that Daala is basically Kathleen Kennedy).

The thing about Nu Thrawn is That he’s probably one of the best nu canon by default. It’s the idiocracy effect where Nu Thrawn himself has above average intelligence at best but compared to everyone around him he’s godamn Moriarity

Damn you! Your right. His competition is Kylo Ren, that weird Rogue One villain, and the guy from breaking bad. the feels.

Honestly? Daala OG wasn't terrible. She had a neat backstory, was a character with flaws, like ego and rage. She wasn't a genius, but she was competent and understood terror doctrine. Then Karen Traviss decided she should be something more than a competent imperial Admiral with an ego problem and made her space Patton.

Look who's twitter disappeared

Wonder if round head had some skeletons to get away from.

And this was after he deleted a fuckton of tweets, lol.

Could this be related to the confirmation from WDW Pro about live action SW being put on indefinite hold (and possibly just flat out dead with the exception of maybe Mando season 2 since it was already halfway done before shit went to tits)? Maybe Rian realized that people were getting wise to the fact that his trilogy would never happen at all, or if Disney was stupid enough to still give it to him, they definitely can't now, much less after all of this. So maybe he's trying to memory hole his existence. Either that or the crypto scam artists who took over several accounts decided to do the world a favor.

Could you link me to this? I browsed the last few pages, but I either can't find it or keep missing it like Daisy Ridley on a cocaine binge.

While it's looking like the "official" reason is the big twitter hack going on, I'd bet that he's possibly worried about being #metoo. It would yet another hard left feminist ally revealed to be a sex pest that was just using the ideology as cover.

As for his trilogy. He has to know it's dead in the water at this point. Especially after the box office for Episode 9 came in. His theoretical involvement with any future Star Wars project will cost Lucasfilm money in some way. Any sane studio head that replaces Kennedy would rightly and understandably blacklist him from anything Lucasfilm related.

so I found this on reddit:

I looked for the endor article that the poster talks about in the relevant issues of insider but can't seem to find it.

does anyone know off chance, what issue or page number this article is on?

Star Wars Insider began as Lucasfilm magazine in Fall 1987 it rebranded as insider beginning with issue 23 in Fall 1994. Hidalgo's first published material was an article in SW adventure Journal 7 which was released August 4 1995. He became ICM for Lucas Online which debuted some time in 1997 until 2011. The forum posts in that link refer to him as the "internet guy meaning the article was most likely written within that timeframe. Furthermore the oldest forum post in that screen shot is dated 12/14/04. The article youre looking for was likely released in an issue of SW insider some time between 1997-2004
