Fun fact: PLA soldiers are not issued body armor because it would “Sap their fighting spirit”.

But that can change since February, the PLA has been stocking up on body armor.
They sell body armor on Wish. I wouldn't wear it, but they sell it. That is a bit funny thinking that the PLA doesn't get body armor because Chinese factories are too busy churning out fake plates to commie LARPers.

They stole the plans for US standard body armor from Dupont after all. Or Dupont conveniently left them on the table for China to accidentally find. Who the fuck knows. Americas strength has always been its corporations who in pursuit of profit pushed the borders of science and technology.

In our modern day world however it's become our Acchiles heel. Corporations pursuing profit absent loyalty to their own nation will happily sell their shit to China if they can get away with it. I dont believe for one second Dupont had that shit stolen from them. They gave it up willingly.

This is why for all the minor problems in my Silicon Valley company, the company refusing to do business in China is a huge plus in my book. They are few and far between, but there are still some ethical companies out there.

To offer another story of perspective and a reminder to stay grounded in these times; I was once at a roller rink a year or so back for a family member's birthday, and they had these arcade machines. I was playing one cause I was like a crippled person when trying to use roller skates, and some little black kid came up to me and asked if he could borrow a couple quarters to play the racing game next to the cabinet I was playing. I obliged, and after he got done, a big sister of his (whom was also black) reprimanded him in a reasonable manner, and gave me back the money I had given to him out of her own pocket, even though I said it was fine and she didn't have to pay me back. She insisted, however, and I obliged. Stories like this really do keep some people from going too far.
Isn't this the definition of soft bigotry of low expectations? It shouldn't be remarkable that they acted like normal people.

Honestly your company probably has some smarts. Not just loyalty but good old fashioned rational self interest. Attorney General Barrs speech a couple days ago stated pretty strong that American companies will get behind the flag or be hung from it. 2021 is going to be wild if Trump is reelected.

Correct, I can’t give away too many details, but with the specific industry we are in, going into China would be catastrophic. We cannot conform to their requirements without sacrificing everything that we do and represent.

The ride never ends....

What's DHS' policy on harpoons?

I'll never forgive campus radicalism for taking away bookish fat girls from me

Man can't even have an odd fetish in peace these days

"people where throwing stuff past the fence and pulled them down, how dare we get maced, tear gassed, and flashbanged"

:stress:

they were just trying to help the police clean up some litter, and anyways all borders are evil. what part of "protesters of peace" don't you get, pal?

they said they were peaceful; what more evidence do you need????

From what I've learned, it's not that they gave it up willingly, but that they will accept the risk of their patented technology being stolen by China if it means that they can produce their products for cheaper this quarter than they did last quarter. The fact that their tech can be stolen and manufactured by China is immaterial, since it would require thinking two or more quarters ahead.

Yeah that's not gonna win.

It *might* at the 9th, because it's the 9th and is full of actual activist judges, though I'm not sure even they'd go as far as to try and tell the Feds they can't enforce Federal law within the United States as it's unquestionably within the realm of Federal law enforcement powers. I'd expect if it goes all the way to the top to be a unanimous S.C. decision telling Oregon to shut the fuck up.

It looks like the AG of Oregon might also be tying to launch a criminal investigation into the federal officers, which oh boy that's not going to go over well if Oregon tries to start arresting feds for enforcing Federal law. That power play could very well end up with the AG and potentially Governor being arrested for sedition.

More law enforcement agencies need to step up like this. If a city wants to virtue signal about how not racist they are let them do it on their own. Dont save them, and let them deal with the consequences.
These cops are so racist they'd rather stop patrolling and working instead of not killing us!!
You know that's what they'd say.

Looks like Portland is starting to test the ground

"Don't subject me to force when Im a peaceful protester"
1) If you were you'd be out durning the day when most of them happen
2) Even if you show up at night, then leave when asked/ordered to leave so you don't get gassed/peppered bullet because the "protest" turned in to unlawful assembly or a riot.

Welp, more people to pick up in unmarked vans.
Really DHS should cut power, cellular, and internet to Portland and "resolve" the protesters along with arresting the mayor and AG. Rate me glowie, I dont care bc they are traitors.

The city council too.

Yeah, I had the same thought.
