Omnitracs is also used like an email or texting device by the trucking company. The dispatcher or other office people will send messages to individual drivers, shifts or the whole fleet.

Wherever the message came from, it went through the office & the top guys who shit themselves over risk management & whatever the insurance company worries about & they OK'ed it. So someone higher up might've decided that drivers suing over the unsafe conditions of the riots was a possibility worth addressing.

The Posse Commitatus Act is frequently misunderstood because the PCA doesn't define a posse comitatus, and the posse is a weird and archaic thing. Back in the day, US Marshals could summon the Army to assist them in law enforcement. The PCA took that power away from them. The President still has authority to use the Armed Forces to enforce Federal laws when unlawful assemblages make it impracticable to do so through normal judicial proceedings, i.e. when idiots besiege a Federal court. Even without unlawful assemblages, the Armed Forces can be used for everything but search, seizure, and arrest. I'm thinking beatings and gassings would be permissible under the law.

Got trucker buddys in Missouri with a X class cdl. I was told by them because of the nature of what there transporting they are never to pull over and stop. They cant run the risk of hijacking and theft.

Interesting -- Israel had an average score (of Hebrew speakers only -- the averages go down when you add in Arab speakers, although they have segregated schools and different textbooks for Arabs so I suspect that there is a quality of schools difference that might be a factor) of 506 in reading, 490 in math, and 491 in science. So it is interesting that we often hear how much smarter Jews are than the rest of us when the numbers don't seem to support that.

It's weird, in other countries we learned about important issues and laws specific to relevant geopolitical areas. In high school. We went over the constitution, basic american civil law, its history and the history of important civil rights events.

I can't speak on private institutions but in public middle school and high school the curriculum becomes heavily focused on standardized tests. This often frustrates teachers themselves. There are some "alternative" type high schools where the curriculum and style of teaching can be radically different but if it means not taking those tests you may get a different type of diploma and it may become very difficult to get into a 4 year college.

Also, depending on the socio-economic level of the area the public school is located in, the level of education and the student body can be radically different.

In NYC for example, parents are often willing to pay a higher price for rent/ownership if they are zoned for a highly rated public school because it can be like getting a private school level of education for their offspring for free. The parents are also highly involved in these public schools themselves so these public schools can get more funding and support despite being public schools.
