>TFW you lose the Mandate of Heaven

How would we know if the dam actually broke? Would there be satellite images, downstream effects for countries that have a less state-controlled media, or..? I remember the Chernobyl story broke because of radiation getting picked up in Sweden of all places.

Well, 1) you can see it by satellite, 2) a number of nuclear reactors sit downstream of it, 3) 100,000 of panicked people texting and calling friends for help.

If it goes, you'll know. And we'll define the world into before and after.

So what do you think the outcome for the CCP if/when the Dam bursts? I myself think a full on Chinese civil war is going to occur between the CCP and a combination of citizens that have had their lives destroyed due to either Corona or the Dam flooding and simply having nothing left to losand parts of the Chinese military that have had enough of the CCP and have had their families destroyed by the virus/dam as well.

Wouldn't surprise me. They have been breaking smaller levees and dikes along the Yangtze in an effort to save Wuhan from what I've heard.

I do wonder where the PLA is in all this though. Maybe shits way more fucked politically in the CCP than is evident from the outside?

Some reports have suggested bad blood between the CCP and the PLA following the Galwan Valley skirmish with India. Specifically regarding Beijing's refusal to honor, or even acknowledge, the deaths of the Chinese soldiers in the battle. Don't know if it's related, but I'd guess that would have some negative effects on morale.

Unlikely.
Chinese are too whipped, too outgunned and above all too brainwashed to do anything at this point.
This dumpster is going to burn until there is no trash left, then somebody might do a "humanitarian mission" and take over.

As much as i agree that the Chinese civil war may be a optimistic scenario I still think there’s only so many natural disasters one populous could take before the brainwashing wears out. The real question is going to be how many does it take before the brainwashing stops having a effect?

Let's take a moment out of this thread to just savor the sweetest delicacy this world has to offer: schaudenfreude (mispelled?)
Just imagine how it must feel to secure ultimate power over a rising superpower, have the entire fortune 500 kissing your ass, and to witness your greatest rival utterly demoralized and limpdicked before your ascension and to have it all go to shit in a few months.
He's had to dodge a pandemic, is now personally sanctioned by American edict, his military got their asses literally whooped by the poos, the yellow River is going to utterly assfuck China with one of her specialty floods and as a cherry on top, his cute daughter has her nudes on our phones. This is the purest essence of JUST I've ever seen from the high and mighty and the year still ain't over.

So would the Chinese be just as unlikely and apathetic as the Venezuelans to fight back, since the Venezuelans haven't gone after their government after they pretty much flushed their economy down the toilet?

Something like 90% of the antibiotics the US uses (because our politicians are complete whores who don't seem to understand the importance of strategic industries) are made in Wuhan.

That damn dam goes the world has more problems than a few million drowned Chinese people.
This would be a perfect time (well, ever since the time the dam showed signs) to move the ingredients or something to somewhere else that is not in China.
But then again, it's China and during a pandemic it caused. They would rather die with their own evidence to their graves like them destroying up the vaccines(?) and reports of SARS.

It'll be interesting to see, if the worst comes, exactly how tens of millions of people will feel about suddenly being homeless, with who knows how many of their friends and families dead or separated from them. And, well, if the southern part of the country suddenly has this huge expanse of water north of it. Shit could get weird.

Shit thats about to be the USA next month without water because of the CCP

Fuck china

I don't know, this is a pretty hard one to joke about. 400,000,000 living downstream - a dam failure would literally be the worst thing that happened in the entire history of the human species. In a worst case scenario, the death toll might exceed all the deaths caused by World War 2, globally, over the 6 years of the war, in a matter of a week.

I mean on the one hand, this is pretty much China's fault for not building a better dam or making sure their people don't live near the floodwaters. On the other, it'll definitely be a tragic time when it finally bursts. The only question is just how many of them are going to parish, and how many are the CCP going to rescue should they bother.

As much as I blame China for being part of the problem when it comes to both the eco system and population issues we have, I sincerely hope that the innocent people in harm's way actually get out of it before the worst comes to pass.
