Something interesting about the Patreon earnings shows up when you look at their values over a longer timeline.

The most recent spike is a change of two patrons for $93 more. If you look at the historical data, you'll see a lot more of these little spikes of around $100 happen over the last year (about seven or eight times by my count). They always disappear when the month ticks over, there's never more than three patrons (most often just one, sometimes two), and these pledges sometimes even disappear before the last day of the month. The odd pledge is the nearly $300 one on July 15th, but I fully expect the recent addition to disappear either on or before the end of the month.

I'm unsure of whether or not it's normal behavior, someone fucking with Alex or possible artificial inflation of the earnings.

Like I said before, I don't think it'll be sustained. Since patreon charges you for a pledge change up front, these people might just be trying to 'donate extra' to help with the project. Sounds like a kid getting a bit of extra summer money. The sudden $300 spike might be someone trying to fuck with him, gambling on a chargeback success, but it could also just be someone shoveling alex some of their spare coronachan bucks.

That said, it still kills me how many of the sponsor tiers are also moderators and admins. I wouldn't stick my company name on this dumpster fire if Alex gave me his entire patreon earnings.

But the clothes are just bad design. Any good designer would know that high waist looks best for thicker people. The way her skirt sits at her hip bone is just unflattering and the way her shirt is tucked in makes her look like she doesn't know how to dress.

Honestly, that looks better than I expected. Way less horrifying than the hand-drawn ones. Now that UI needs a revamp too although it's less shitty than the YanDev one.
Alex apparently doesn't know that you can use more than one font, and it wasn't even a good font for UI to begin with.

I think Bow-chan's design is quite appealing. The hair color and overall aesthetic really give off that valentine vibes: a bit chubbier like a cupid, brown clothing and bow design reminiscent of chocolate and obvious red hair with heart-shaped elements. The only problem I have is definitely with the skirt, I would've pulled it bit higher and make it slightly longer. But besides that, I really dig it.

That being said, claiming that "it's my art style" and that "she's healthy chubby just like me" is fucking stupid. It's even more idiotic to use badly drawn art as a staple of your game. There is not a single thing that makes this girl's "style" appealing. Line art is below average, actual drawing skills suck and even coloring is plain boring. Why this artist, out of all the others?

I'm going to be honest, this isn't as bad as I expected, based on the concept art. A few tweaks and it's fine.
It won't save the project, but I really have little in the way of outright complaints.

I actually really preferred the brown uniform. Change the color, make the skirt slightly longer and high wasted and the design will be pretty good.

Yeah, that's what I also don't understand. Say, he wants to add a new eye color, he would then have to create another case for that specific color, which is bad.
Why not... I dunno, just use the rgb value directly instead of a string? And if he needs it to be humanly readable, he could use constants. No "ifs" or "switches" necessary.

let me dump some knowledge in your head kid, the "if else" is a bad practice but not in the way your think even with a "switch statement" doesn't solve the problem because Alex lacks the basic knowledge of OOP and SOLID principles. To put it simple, if you want a function in a Script to do one simple thing, in Alex case he create ONE function that handles EVERYTHING i.e the Student script.

So when you need to change something he needs to go through over 15k lines of code to see if something doesn't work, is team of using a modular approach. That's why it's a bad practice, at least read some programing 101 you retard.
