This whole flood business is JUST what we need to complete the "2020 is evil incarnate" meme; yeah a bunch of people will die but it will be THE thing people will talk about for ages if it actually happens (Which looks like it is, judging from all the info on this thread). Deffo gonna be pulling an all-nighter to see if shit hits the fan tonight.

The nuclear waste won't even be the most toxic thing spilled into the ocean. Imagine all the literal garbage those 300 million people downstream produce. Or the amount of insanely toxic chemicals that goes into building a Chinese commieblock or slave factory. And many of said chemicals are produced there to begin with.

AFAIK, it's the dams for the various tributaries off the Yangtze, not the Yangtze proper. Basically, flooding the smaller towns to reduce the inflow to TGD.

Most of it is grown in fish farms anyway and god knows what garbage they feed them. The wild caught fish is mostly harvested at unsustainable rates so would be going extinct anyway.

Hope the fisheries patrol boats are up to snuff because Chinese illegal fishing will be going way up.

Mutation breeding and atomic farming to create new slightly altered types of plants have been a great boon to agriculture in the west. Surely China means only to take the idea now to the seafood industry. Soon they shall be able to harvest true jumbo shrimp, And the 60 foot tall Gamera will be a treasure haul worth of turtle meat (not to mention his horns are a powerful aphrodisiac.) The Sharktopus fin and tentical soup will be to die for.
