You're not exaggerating, you're fundamentally mistaken. Here's what the DSM-5 has to say about the development and course of BPD:

In short they get better with age and therapy, and studies have shown that up to half of them don't meet the full diagnostic criteria after 10 years (i.e. they don't have enough symptoms to qualify as having BPD anymore). They may still have some lasting issues, but they can definitely graduate from radioactive dumpster fires to slightly neurotic but decent people.
If that's the case then why do you almost never see or hear about people with BPD getting better? It's simple:
- Recovering from a personality disorder means mitigating/eliminating the behaviors that define the disorder, which makes it increasingly difficult to tell that the person ever had it at all.
- The vast majority of people aren't going to stick around a person with BPD long enough to see them recover, because their monumentally shitty behavior drives people away.
- People who do recover from BPD are unlikely to speak up about it since the disorder is incredibly stigmatized.
Basically you hardly ever hear about people recovering from BPD because the people they meet before recovering generally don't stick around, and the ones they meet afterwards generally don't realize they ever had it. Recovery from BPD
seems rare because most people are hardly ever in a position to see it happen, but to the therapists/doctors/researchers who work with the disorder it's actually pretty common.
Thanks for coming to my SPED talk. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. Apparently Logan is coping with the hate she's getting for being on Josh's podcast by posting hippie grandma Facebook memes:

And here she is showing off the classic BPD cycle of idealization/devaluation with some metaphors about her life before and after Lowtax:

What I like about this is that you can see both sides of the cycle at once. She's idealizing those halcyon days "Before Lowtax" when she needed therapy, had a therapist who allegedly raped her, and was generally in a position where being Lowtax's bangmaid seemed like a positive life choice. You know, the good 'ol days. Meanwhile she's completely devaluing Lowtax as though a few months with him ruined her life, even though she just said two days ago that he was the only one who cared about her alleged rape. Truly some 10/10 mental gymnastics.
