I think Hassan’s influence has been grossly exaggerated tbh.

Yeah, they might have been in touch a few times when Twitch wasn’t the giant it is today and Phil could get more than a few hundred viewers at a time.

But today? Phil is as small as they come, and the fact that they don’t even offer him a partner email hotline or whatever, and make him jump through the same hoops as any streamer with ten viewers, speak volumes.

Did he basically ask for this with his response to Round One? Yeah, but it doesn't change the fact that what's happening is the abuse of an extremely flawed automated system. For the people wanting to see him gone for justice or karma, gotta say, that ain't it.

The salt is funny, definitely, but not so much when viewed in the context of what brought it up. It doesn't feel great, even slightly standing in Phil's corner, but this isn't how things ought to go down. As bulletproof as the man has seemed to be in the past, that doesn't make the case in my mind for him to get nailed for something erroneous.


That would, honest to God, be one hell of a redemption story.

I'm with you on that, I was focusing to not sperg the fuck out. The shit Hound is doing to him isn't the fucking way to go. I get companies don't want to get sued for copyright infringement, but there should be something to slow the process and help block frivilous claims. The way Twitch wants to do the "girls are abused online" shit 24/7, they'd be doing the world a favor if they implemented controls to stop shit that can affect both sides of what's between your legs. Because okay, when telling someone "I know where you live, I'll slit your throat and rape your corpse" gets old; fuck it, why not use the DMCA to fuck with them. At the same time, they should also start by enforcing rules equally, but that won't happen.

Honestly I would agree that Twitch is screwing up badly by allowing someone to falsely take down streamers so easily. If this gets out, anyone could basically screw up any streamer they don't like. Major security issue right there.
However, of course Phil has to act like an idiot and insult Twitch openly. Rule number one: don't bite the hand that feeds you, Phil. Anyone with a decent amount of intelligence knows this.

Can we appreciate the irony that Phil is in this position because for once he did the "right" thing. This fag was going around sending false DMCA's to any detractor he could, for some reason Phil decided to speak out saying it was wrong. and the guy decided "fuck you you ungrateful bastard now you're on my list too."

After years of mass reporting falling of deaf ear and failed grassroots campaigns for doing the wrong thing he does something right and it bites him on the ass. Makes me think if he would do a charity stream the next day he would be diagnosed with the disease he raised money for.

Not that it matters much since this thing will probably work itself out and if it does he'll just go to Youtube, but at least it's entertaining unlike the content, sausage mode Phil in a vest that's been around the past few months.

Are you kidding? Compared to his viewerbase nobody watches DSP. If you want salt and laughs you can't ask for much better than Phil embarrassing himself in front of ever-larger groups of people, and make no mistake, that is what would happen. Phil has a one hundred percent success rate at shooting his mouth off like a middle school bully when he doesn't have time to control his message.

Yes, that's what I thought too. But giving DSP more exposure might actually help his situation. I don't want to see DSP being helped by anyone.

Of course the DMCA strikes are unethical. DSP is a victim of a broken system in this situation. But you know what?
This motherfucker's fraudulent bankruptcy filing was granted. DSP benefited from another broken system. Fuck him.
His pigroach luck has carried him too far.

Phil has been getting undeserved help from others his entire adult life. That's just how some people survive. It isn't going to change now and wanting so badly for it not to be the case is just going to cause MOTI on your end, so I say why not enjoy the ride? Phil doesn't care how anyone else feels about his situation and he is not worth your ire.

I am enjoying the ride regardless. I'm simply always cognizant of the destination. To me, best case scenario is always the one which will make DSP suffer the most. In this case, getting perma-banned from Twitch. This scenario will provide us with the most salt and laughs in the long run.
