Bad Cosplay - Thots, weebs, and wannabes

Armchair psychology old asshole bitching from me, I can get behind the idea that guys should keep the sex shit in their pants, treat women with respect, and that yes, even Jesus said to not give into lustful urges no matter what women wear, but thots haven't established the societal and community conventions to help make the world a better place or make efforts to earn that respect, and even then, I know they would immediately fuck that up. I don't know if it's society at large to blame, I don't know if it's because cosplay thots are spoiled rich whores who live in their own spoiled princess delusions to "be pure" at any cost of decency and common sense, I don't know if it's fucked up female conventions that coward ass feminists haven't even bothered tackling because "tee hee lol that's a lot of hard work" tl;dr they're actually lazy, but I agree that if you want to say if someone is hot, you should do that without being assumed as a rapist or a sex offender.

If someone shows something the natural response is to look at it, especially if it is sexual. "The thong and tiny bikini top is part of my Quiet costume, it's not sexual!" - you should take that up with mother nature, Karen, we didn't have a say in this either.
Many things can be civilized away, like an unashamed and unending gaze at someones cleavage, that's just rude and unsettling. Trying to do something about dudes noticing absurd cleavage or an ass hanging out is a dead end, that can't be done, the closest we can get is to force people to lie about it - oh I didn't notice, oh I didn't look etc. That won't actually achieve anything besides creating an army of repressed supreme gentlemen and lining the pockets of Patreon and Onlyfans.

Anyway, make closed cosplay conventions for women only and no dudes can stare at their costumes. I'm no genius but I predict that the prevalence of sexy cosplay at a convention like that would drop. Bad news for anyone with a Patreon or Onlyfans.

As someone who infrequently attends conventions, cosplays for the fun of it, and watches cosplay drama from the sidelines, having an all female convention would be like throwing a lit match into a gasoline barrel. Most cosplay women take themselves waaay too seriously and act like they’re still in highschool.

The natural solution is, if things like ahegao sweatshirts are banned at a given convention (an "issue" I am neutral on), highly "sexualized" cosplays get banned, or at least strongly discouraged. The problem at that point is defining what exactly is "too sexualized." In any case, boobs and butts should not be pouring out of outfits, and men should adhere to decency as well. If minors cannot look at ahegao outfits, they shouldn't be looking at outfits that wouldn't be out of place on a doujin cover.

I strictly blame the States for its own predicament. Japan does tons of "NSFW" cosplays, and that hasn't stopped their convention attendance nor the sales on anime and video games..... the latter maybe so due to the new law on banning female designs that reveal T&A. Thanks Kotaku. Fuck you too.

It depends on the convention what their policies are. I know my "home" convention has a strict rule on aheago sweatshirts being banned but their cosplay guidelines is also strict. Since it's billed as a "family friendly" convention. They do have an image guideline on what is and isn't accepted for cosplay, though.

I don't think there is any sense in being sexually constipated because it isn't a crime to be horny. Just don't touch anyone without their permission or hit on them if they told you to stop, no one cares if you jack off to them later just don't behave like an autist.

I have an autism about casual Sailor Moon cosplay in particular, because there's a fuckton of cute casual and alternate designs in the artbooks and anime. But most people don't do those and choose to do garbage alt designs instead.
To me, Cosplay in general looks terrible because it just doesn't translate to reality all that well.

You know, I know that MAYBE trying to work out might take some time out of your anime and video game time, but for fuck's sake, cosplayers who do not tone their bodies are absolute cockteases and attention whores. I know it's just for "fun and all" but the amount of women who have jutting bellies yet have good physique at conventions are astoundingly common.
That's gross. She looks like shit push out a pair of twins six months ago and someone hit her in the gunt with an old buick.

I was browsing amazon for no praticular reason and I found this.

I don't like the way she poses. Like, what was she going for? It really doesn't match the character at all (as with everything else).
Don't know what you mean. I think the poses are cute, they suit young Phos, pre-winter. I think especially for being a black cosplayer going for a very pale character, she did good.

Eh, wig looks cheap and she's fat. Outfit's well fitted and eyebrows/makeup look good. Well groomed, which is a low bar, but high for this amateur community. Not the best, but not the worst. Not quite the shit tier of this thread. (And she's cute)

It just looked off to me, but I guess that's just me being critical for once. The foil on the wig, makeup, and lace legging didn't help. It is starting to grow on me though.

I also found these, but now I wonder if they're bad enough for this thread.

Wig looks messy and the belt looks like it's about to come off (it's velcro).

This is probably much more this thread's speed. I know what she was going for on the wig, but it's executed poorly and looks like it's coming off in the back. Eye makeup looks alright, but then she has this gray powder on her cheeks, which I guess is suppose to be glitter, but it looks patchy (probably from touching her face to pose) and it just makes her look freckly and greasy.

Is that an industrial clip for the waist? Like is that an intentional choice, or just a stupid one?

It's part of the dress. It looks like she was trying to squeeze her stomach in an attempt to look thinner. I don't think that's what it's for though because you get about an inch of velcro to hold it down.

For a costume off Amazon that looks pretty good. Only complaints here are the fit of the wig and the odd choice to wear lacy tights. Maybe that's some kind of interpretation of the agate legs?
