Wow, look at all the mask-wearing and social-distancing coming out of Georgia, today, from the guy who thinks that wearing a mask should be mandatory and not wearing a mask should result in criminal penalties. I love how when the cameras are all on broadcasting the event, they're all sitting in different zipcodes, but the second that's done and over with, they all pile into a clump and start rubbing all over each other.

Remind me again why I'm supposed to give a shit about any of this if even the poster children treat it like a game.
Its also worth noting that Van Johnson - the mayor of Savannah who is earning his DNC street cred by trashing governor Kemp and slapping a mandatory mask rule on a tourism-dependent southern city in the dead of summer - seen here breaking social distancing to embrace a maskless Cuomo.

think the riots were planned for summer 2020 before the virus even started, that's where the media, political, and corporate coordination came from and was built as well as the on the ground support like the pallets of bricks
They were. Project Veritas caught Bernie staffers saying Milwaukee "would burn" if Bernie wasn't nominated.

Check this out.

Seriously, bitch. If you want a war, best way to see it start. We, as a nation, have had way too much bullshit, lies, fearmongering, and oppression over a disease that kills an average of 20 people per state per day. CA has 40 million people. Three times as many die every day from heart problems/cancer and five times as many from stroke, diabetes, falls, accidents, homicides, etc. And you people lost ALL credibility when you blessed "protesters" protesting sans masks and distancing.

Just stop it. No more. Everyone wears masks, does distancing, but everything is open again. This shit isn't going to go away, and most people have already factored it into their lives. We need to get the country going again.

Stop it before it is stopped for you. You cried "wolf" once too often.

I exercise 6 days a decade and nothing bad's happened to me.
I gave up on exercising when they closed the gyms for the second time. :(

Schools seems to be the new battleground here in CA. One-after-the-other they're all going online. I'm very very curious how this will effect all the double-family working parents. They're taking about turning parks and libraries into supervised distance learning zones... Apparently many poorer families don't have wifi, or must share one computer between several kids and this is going to really suck for them.

And in brighter news, I've found a coffeeshop that's left tables out on it's patio. It's practically heaven to be able to get out of the house - for as long as my laptop batteries last!

Why, it's almost like the "experts" and government officials pushing for these restrictions feel like they're above them.

Hypocrites, the whole damn lot of them. They oughta be tarred and feathered for perpetuating this farce.

I was looking at some gyms so I could get into some sports like field hockey or table tennis and then everything closed down, so I just gave up hope of ever being fit. :(

I've got a motley assortment of exercise machines in my basement that I've had since the 90s. Stuff has been used more this decade than it's been used in the last two combined.

That's not actually a bad idea. One centralized building where the kids can go to learn and do their lessons, maybe with a place set aside where they can eat lunch. Then they can go outside and blow off some steam in the middle of the day. Responsible adults on hand to watch over them and answer questions for them, maybe even explain some concepts they aren't picking up on their own. Maybe send kids of different ages or ability levels to different sites so groups working on similar material can advance together.

As long as we don't send them back to school. If we send them back to school everyone will die.

You got a rowing machine you're willing to give away for free?

No shit. THEY never miss a paycheck. nor do their minions who enforce their ukases. So why should THEY give a fuck if YOU have a job? They don't. They really don't.

I am not advocating or inciting anyone to violence, but these people have sown the wind. One way or another, believe they will reap the whirlwind. Have had the feeling that "they" have fucked with our country and ourselves worse than a foreign invader might. Not too much of an exaggeration, I fear. "They" don't stop, just one fuck after another. "They" do their best to keep people aggravated and worried. "They" try their best to pit person versus person. But believe more and more of us have tuned "them" out entirely. Went to a medical appointment this morning. Man taking samples expressed his anger and frustration over the situation. Believe the more people you talk to, the more you'll hear a similar sentiment.

Will we get through this? Yes. But, much as I hate to say it, the motherfucking situation is going to get worse before it gets better. Can't even draw a parallel between now and 1968 any more. Shit's getting surreal.

On a side note, an article re possible impacts of the end of the extra $600/week in unemployment benefits.

We should have brought out the tar & feather a long time ago: federal income tax, federal gun laws (you know the shit we killed redcoats for trying).
But this shit is borderline guillotine worthy.

Which didn't happen in Sweden.

Oh wait, I forgot only now is the US incomparable to Sweden; and according to the tenured academics of Discord KiwiFarms, Sweden is due for a "seriuos" wave any day now.

I'm very curious what the fallout will be if we lose that extra $600. $450+600= $1050 and that doesn't cover most rents in LA. Cue mass migration to Texas, I guess!

As 2020 continues -
What will happen if the unemployed lose the extra money but do not gain a job to make up for it?
Crime.
Crime will happen.
With no money to pay for essential bills, rent, etc people will start robbing shops and their neighbors.
Desperation makes people do ugly things.

What a perfectly awful situation to be in with all the rioting and crime that's going on already.
