ValiDate - an upcoming (and unsurprisingly racist) visual novel made by SJW's, for SJW's. Currently MIA.

For those of you that want to make parodies or more interesting characters quicker and easier.

I mean, don’t give them any ideas, but I’d like to see some crack content.

Here's a fun drinking game to play while we wait for the game to release (lol). Take a shot whenever the following happens: art is traced, assets are stolen, artist draws another inaccurate depiction of a race, someone mentions a wh*te character, a fanmade ValiDatesona turns out to be better than any of the actual characters.

Why are you trying to murder Farms members?

This isn't the first time i've seen it, but now "People of color" that have light skin are not considered woke enough. I've seen people complain about how they wanted X company to add dark skin characters in a japanese game because, in their words, there were too many "pasty bois".

It's because of the drama the team caused that's starting to give this game more attention to begin with. I guarantee you if the devs weren't sperging out on Twitter this project would fall into obscurity just like the Ankh one. You see it all the time. The creators throw a fit because they all have some sort of drama that they can't leave past the door for their projects and have no desire to act professionally. All of this could've been avoided if they just shut up long enough and just made their game.

I'm guessing they must have appealed to enough guillable people who think this is the grounds for finally getting rid of those awful, racist gamers lol. And that this will be the game that breaks those boundaries somehow. I guess.
It's long been noted that the sort of people who would financially support a game to both virtue signal and spite the gamers are in much shorter supply than the number who pretend they'd put their money where their mouth is. But this game is small enough to be able to reach that tiny market, especially with their efforts to be aggressively anti-white and trying to provoke negative reactions.

Zoe Quinn's Chuck Tingle Kickstarter gives what I think is a guide to the upper limit a scheme like this can hope to get - just over 80 grand seems the maximum. And ValiDate has undoubtedly gotten a boost with race being so prominent an issue the last couple of months.

So supporting a lazy, ugly, crappy game to the tune of $50,000 because all the characters have dark skin and pronouns fits pretty well with the kind of counter-productive, surface level attempts to combat racism we've seen recently. Invest in small businesses that need help recovering? No, let's give a bunch of deluded hipsters in an art collective money to make a very, very bad game! That will show those white, cis people!

all the 'men' are skinny with stacked afros and droopy eyes, and all the 'women' are fat with tie-dye hair and obnoxious hawaiian tourist shirts. in validate's quest for diversity, they've only succeeded in making either the most racist or most forgettable characters ever.

i went through the entire post about emhari's route not knowing if it was the one in the white shirt with eyelashes or the one with frosted tips and glasses. their names and pronouns are interchangeable

I don't like the taste of alcohol, is soda okay?

I thought the same exact thing of her not being cut out for character design, but she has a link in her Twitter bio that takes you to her art gallery, and real shit, she has some genuine fucking talent. I’m honestly surprised that underneath the bad character design in ValiDate lies some actual competence. There’s a few iffy pieces here and there, but she shows that she does understand design and color matching. For some reason it all went out the window in this game.
The first and 777 pic are pretty gud actually.

If there's actually Validate dev lurkers, please read this as a concerned spectator.

In life, you can't escape bullying/teasing, neither in real life or the internet webzones. It's just a part of human nature; watch any nature documentary of animals eating other animals by 'unfair' manipulations of advantages/disadvantages and you'll know.

Some old youtuber named J.T Sexkik puts this point very well. He doesn't like Donald Trump too btw, but I agree generally with some of the advice ramblings he gives out.

You don't have to follow what everyone else says to a perfect T, you aren't a robot. You can balance them out because that's what humans do. In my experience, I find 'comfort zones' to be traps, like the lotus-eaters in greek mythology, it'll only ruin you in the long term.
