There's one thing I will say for the Bundy family and their followers, when they took over the Malheur Wildlife Refuge back in 2016 and Antifa came sniffing around, trying to join up with them, the Bundy crew sent them packing.
Speaking of that group, one of the last four that were holed up at Malheur, Sean Anderson, was injured in a shootout with cops after an hour-long car chase.

Reminder that the Bundy family was legally in the right and the charges against them were dismissed with prejudice due to the government fucking with evidence. They got convicted on other charges but the standoff was legal.

Let's not forget the one who was literally shot in cold blood by the police.

It was about them not paying grazing fees on BLM land, which they should have done. Cliven Bundy even threatened to rape one of the BLM rangers at one point. Literally.

I should have known better than to mention the Bundys, discussing them is always bad for my blood pressure.

If you mean LaVoy Finnicum, he sped through a traffic stop, drove at a police barricade only swerving at the last minute and then when his truck was stuck in a snowbank he jumped out and advanced on the cops repeating "You're going to have to shoot me. You're going to have to shoot me." and when he reached for the gun in his pocket they did just that. There are videos and audio (if you can handle listening to Victoria Sharp's voice) out there to prove what happened no matter how their supporters want to spin it.

The Bundys are still dealing with court cases from that whole mess. I wish for nothing but bad things to happen to them.

I guess that was what I was thinking of. I hate everything.

Portland officials demand feds remove courthouse fence in bike lane
https://www.oregonlive.com/portland...eds-remove-courthouse-fence-in-bike-lane.html (https://archive.vn/6YCHB)

The Portland Bureau of Transportation demanded the federal government on Thursday to remove a reinforced fence in front of the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse, because the fence was placed in a bike lane without permits.

The city attorney’s office is weighing fines and legal action if the structure is not removed, said Chris Warner, director of the Portland Bureau of Transportation, in a letter to Roy Atwood, Region 10 administrator with the U.S. General Services Administration, Thursday.

Honestly, im glad these rioters are complete idiots.
Even a mortar firework could be infinitely more deadly if they used an epoxy to glue small ballbearings or pachinko balls to them.
The epoxy shatters from sharp impacts, allowing them to launch metal balls with the outwards force of the mortar.

It would be an easy way to fuck up the police, and is just as untraceable as current firework attacks have been.
It would be "too aggressive." Throwing a "firework" conjures up images of firecrackers to normal people only catching bits and pieces of this. It would also alienate any progressive who believes in "peace."

AntiFa's strategy is to be just annoying enough for people to snap and then cry victim when they get smacked down. Gluing ball bearings to the outside sounds too premeditated for their optics.

AntiFa doesn't want a war, they want enough sympathy that everyone shuts their brains off and does whatever they say.

They're already doing it, in Seattle at least. BBs attached to mortars and other fireworks. Apparently they aren't very effective, or Antifa sucks at making them, because we haven't heard of too many injuries from them.

The comparison to Weather Underground has been made already, but I think people miss out on a very key difference. Weather Underground had actual explosives experts helping them make bombs, because they had multiple generations of drafted soldiers and European/Middle Eastern anarchist allies to draw on. They organized, they had leaders, and they expelled useless members.

These modern Antifa are LARPers. They don't have practical skills. They didn't train with guns (because their political party told them to fear guns for the last 20 years). Their medics suck, their barricades crumble, and every street-level tactic they've used has been borrowed from the Hong Kong protesters.

Maybe it's insane to think it, but... maybe they already tried to kick off the boogaloo for real, but it was so pathetic nobody noticed.

We'll likely see the more 'disciplined' Antifa groups later on in the 2020s especially if Trump wins. Weatherman and the SLA after all, formed later in the 70s as a result of the SDS's and other New Left groups failing to do anything in 1968 but screech autistically and drive Americans towards Nixon's Law and Order.

Sources: Jussie Smollett, Brian Williams, James Comey, and Rachel Maddow.
Speeches I heard him make that were on streams that don't exist now. I am aware the source is as credible now as me saying "my mom thinks I'm cool" (which she totally does)

Meanwhile, on the other side of Chicago, somebody likely got shot.
I have been informed by Chicago alderman that that was white people in black people suits.

We've had nearly 20 years of the 9/11 wars. Demobilized soldiers seeking the soldiers' paradise have surely joined Leftist groups by now.

I really don't want to sidetrack this thread, but where can I read up/dive into the Bundy stuff? I only really have a surface level of knowledge about it.

PACER docket for the Oregon case by Oregon's AG against the federal government. It was briefed yesterday and an order should be forthcoming shortly.

I believe this document by the feds explains pretty clearly and briefly why this case quite simply cannot be brought as the State of Oregon lacks standing to bring it: https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.ord.153632/gov.uscourts.ord.153632.15.0.pdf

Specifically see the sections arguing against standing. Oregon seeks standing under a legal doctrine, parens patriae, in which under a limited number of circumstances, a state can have standing to sue on behalf of its citizens. IMO Oregon quite simply doesn't for more or less exactly the reasons the feds briefed.

It shouldn't matter, but possibly it is even more likely because the judge, Michael W. Mosman, is a George W. Bush appointee who was also appointed by Chief Justice Roberts to the notorious FISA court which is absurdly pro-fed. He is also currently a judge under the equally pro-federal "United States Alien Terrorist Removal Court."

What are the odds this guy will side with domestic terrorists that the federal government needs an injunction to stop domestic terrorists from blowing up federal buildings, which is literally what Oregon is arguing?

The city government can eat an entire bowl of dicks, take their fines, and ram them up their ass.

For the absolute stupidity of what they're arguing, imagine Oklahoma City tried ordering the federal government to remove the safety bollards from the front of the Murrah Federal Building (or more to the point its replacement) that are there to keep another Timothy McVeigh from blowing it up.
