Even if Chantal makes it to the DR (and that’s a big if), would she ever make it home alive?
The DR has seen its share of tourists deaths last year, all of which seemed suspicious as hell. If I recall correctly, didn’t 10-13 American and Canadian tourists mysteriously die there within the last year?

Forget throwing a clot on the plane or being eaten by a shark, or even dying from cut-rate plastic surgery, my money is on Chantal being found ass up in her room the morning she was to check out. Have fun flying her body back, they’d have to cremate her on the island.

My money is on her keeling over from a heart attack as she tries to walk on the beach. If she can barely walk on a level paved surface, walking on a hot sandy beach will be like climbing Everest for her.

She's calling her trip to the DR "motivation," (presumably to lose weight) but she's only got about 28 weeks to go until she boards the plane. Let's say she starts her diet today, sticks to it and lose 2 pounds per week. Let's also say that she's telling the truth when she says she weighs 400lbs. She would only be able to lose about 55 lbs in that time, leaving her still weighing in at a hefty 345ish on a 5'1" frame. That's still huge and she will be miserable doing anything besides camping out at the buffet in the air conditioned hotel.

All this talk about her food aggression has me imagining her parking her walker at the end of the buffet, hissing and snarling at anyone who comes close to the dipping sauce and condiment area.

Of course all of this is punctuated with a big LOL because she will not be going on any vacation. She'll probably blame it on Covid when in reality she'll be fatter than ever and not able to fit comfortably on the plane.

I take the opposite view of the DR trip which (if it happens but it won’t) will be a fortnight of tedious blogs if we get any at all. Not that Chantal won’t want to but let’s be honest, who is going to want to appear alongside her? And she doesn’t know / hasn’t met these other girls who will be filmed in all sorts of unsuspecting and embarrassing (teehee) ways? Nope, not going to happen. She may film herself by herself but I don’t see the rest of them appreciating being made internet famous - they must have googled her by now. It’ll still be a change up from the usual content but I don’t see it being the shitshow we all hope for.

On the positive side it’s good to see her back in her usual spot by the fridge. I was worried we’d be getting a blank wall from now on as I love seeing what random nonsense is piled up by the sink behind her. If it’s not too much trouble could a Canadian kiwi occasionally identify the food packets for those of us not native to North America?
