I started listening to Ralph around the Boulder Saga time.
I didn't care about his politics, I cared about the laughs. Goddamn he'd have anyone on, he'd get people to the table that would never have got their on their own and it was almost always a good time.
But over time it became less about laughs and more about him weaseling his way into the ethnostate and getting those white pride worldwide dollars.
Ralph was funny because he pointed out the drama and eventually he ran out of the old cows, got lazy about finding new ones and had to become the drama. It all culminated in the faggotry in Miami with the beating of Warski and it was all downhill from there. You can't really tell one episode from the other any more. I remember when Gold Star callers were a rarity but now that's all that's allowed to call in anymore.
Imagine if Matt had started fucking some mentally fucked 18 year old just out of high school back in 2018? Or if he had someone like Butters call in whining about how vidya games aren't as good as they used to be? He would have ripped him a new asshole and rightfully so.
