Has Jake ever once said he’s doing ok?
As a long time fan, I think I’d be concerned if Jake was content because that means he’s accepted the inevitable and is about to join the 41%.

"Sorry to hear that" is making me laugh way too hard. Lord knows it was probably meant genuinely, but it's one of those stock phrases that people in customer service are taught. I can't read it without imagining some bored teenager at Gap staring blankly at a ranting Karen.

Soha FKA Rakshasa gets a glowing write-up/blowjob from some video game website, I don't know, I honestly forgot what it was called already.

Even Soha - a bisexual woman of color - realizes that gamergate has long been dead and uses her real name now. She's got the job that Jake would murder Chelsea for.

Jake, on the other hand, will continue to LARP as a woman while hiding from imagined gamergate assassins and waiting for someone to give in a career in gaming on a silver platter. :story:

Jake really took the idea of a "ruined life" way too seriously.

F. Scott Fitzgerald was stupid, there are second acts in American (and other) lives all the time. Louis CK, thoroughly cancelled, is still releasing comedy specials and making money hand over fist. Mel Gibson is making Passion of the Christ Part II: The Passionest. Roman Polanski directed an award-winning film in 2019. The Star Wars Kid went to a good law school. Justine Sacco, who was a PR Director when she got cancelled in 2013, was recently named Chief Communications Officer for Match Group.

Tons of people have "had their lives ruined" and come through it fine in the end. If you don't actually go to prison, the evidence suggests it's best to just lay low until you can brazen it out and talk about lessons learned. After people have gone through a hundred new outrages, very few will have room for you in their mental cancellation file any more.

It's honestly harder to find examples of people whose "lives were ruined" who didn't ever come back, again, unless they went to prison. Jake loves using "GamerGate ruined my life" as an excuse, but it seems like everyone involved in it who still wants to be employed, is employed in their field of choice, at a higher level than they were before GG (because years have passed and they're more senior now).

Humiliation and exposure seems permanently ruinous when it happens, but everyone except Calamity Jake seems to figure out how to pick up the pieces eventually. Jake can't even peel off the bandaid and admit he's the gnome.

Well, there's the ones that kill themselves. But Jake won't take that step. Also, they're usually guys who have been falsely abused of rape and abuse, like Alec Howolka - though it's unsurprising Jake wouldn't want to draw that connection, for many reasons.

I bet Jake was seething when he read that. Even now he’s probably composing a Googleshng on how platitudes don’t help and he’s... not OK.

I kind of wish someone would give him a job like Soha’s, just for the hilarity that would ensue when some game company revealed the person in charge of diversity was a fat white incel who calls himself Violet.

Those people all had careers, though. They fucked up, but they’d already proven they were capable in their field and they didn’t stop just because they’d been shamed.

Jake’s career wasn’t ruined, because he never had one. He built up this unrealistic expectation in his mind, and when that all came crashing down, he decided he was never going to try ever again. If kissing up to Zoe can even be called “trying.”

If anything, I'd say he has more of a career now than he ever did before. He does occasionally get paid to write entries for bargain-bin RPG supplements. Maybe he's even made more from that than from his couple weeks working at a grocery store two decades ago.

He's getting paid over $1,000 a month to excrete unintelligible, worthless Googleshngs. That's more than Lowtax.

Jake whining about JKR and "transphobia" for the 368,724th time

Thread.

But the short version is that Rowling is just copy-pasting the most virulent baseless propaganda she can find on militantly radicalized hate groups.

Like we're talking about sideways vagina, extra foot bone, steal children to coat brooms in blood levels of bigotry here.

As was my point with this thread here, the average person is so ignorant about all things trans as a baseline that people frequently assume baseline assertions from bigots are as based in fact as they treat them, but it takes VERY little research to debunk. It's not just that the arguments they make are disingenuous. It's that the basic fundamental points you have to take completely for granted for their arguments to even make coherent sense are so plainly untrue that no one making any effort to check could possibly believe them.

It's never like, a reasonable person and a raging bigot read the same paper, or saw the same presentation, and drew different conclusions from it. The bigot just flatly states the paper or presentation does not exist, and proclaims that everyone knows that water is dry.

Just as a recent example, a bigot behaving well enough at first to humor was attempting to engage me in some discussion about "new testing methods for transgender women in the 2020 Olympics."

There's a pretty thorough wikipedia article on this here, with sources. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_people_in_sports

Every statement I was making in this conversation could be pretty easily checked against that, or various other easily found sources, save for my clarification of the minimum level of testosterone needed to be detectable at all in a blood test, that I just know because I get'em).

If someone were to get argumentative about that because they refuse to take my word for anything, and didn't care enough to want to learn anything, but... no this is someone who actively sought me out to firmly shout direct contradictions to the most basic fundamental facts here.

This person REALLY wanted a narrative wherein:
- The Olympics were even being held this year.
- Trans women were slated to compete.
- Some time-tested trans-woman-detector was identified just this year.
- Trans women are not allowed to compete.
- 5 is a larger number than 10.

These... aren't the sort of points that are up for any sort of reasonable debate. There is no conflicting source anywhere that asserts any of the above. We'd be dealing with some completely hidden and never discussed repository of secret knowledge containing these hidden truths, and also an ASTOUNDINGLY vast and powerful conspiracy to... widely spread lies that seems a bit hard to swing, what with the Olympics being televised, posting their own guidelines, etc. and no clear motive for why anyone would have any incentive whatsoever to organize such.

Then of course once that avenue proved fruitless, the tactic switched to asserting that my trivia about the complete lack of any trans women ever excelling in any given sporting event was "berry picking" [sic]. Insinuating that there are, I suppose, hundreds of examples I had omitted. Again, this simply isn't how reality works. To accuse someone, in good faith, of "cherry picking," one needs to be actively aware of some vast quantity of conflicting examples.

This is literally like if I said "no woman has ever served as president of the U.S." and someone came along to shout at me that I'm only looking at 45 specific examples. That's all there are. This sample size is 100% of the population of the group. There are no secret woman presidents, and there is no secret stash of world champion trans woman athletes. It's pretty rare to be a along to shout at me that I'm only looking at 45 specific examples. That's all there are. This sample size is 100% of the population of the group. There are no secret woman presidents, and there is no secret stash of world champion trans woman athletes. It's pretty rare to be a which to support this firm belief that I am misrepresenting the truth, which is... frankly surreal.

But not at all uncommon in transphobe dogma. We have this whole hate group screaming themselves hoarse about young gay children whose parents force them to transition so their sexual desires will be considered straight but no such child actually exists for them to be defending. They rant on about rapists in public restrooms despite not even having one single anecdote to base the claim on. To get really blunt about it, they say this is a photo of a man.

They write these weird as hell fantasy stories about "breast milk sack implants" and women whose vaginas are actually just "open wounds full of hair." https://twitter.com/secretgamergrrl/status/1065131130989568000…

Possibly the most popular thread I've ever written was about a woman whose friends filmed her walking up to a stranger on the street, brutally assaulting them, with straight up manhandling and knees to the ribs, then going on a media tour claiming the video shows clearly how she was actually the victim of this assault she committed.

This whole story exists:

and it's one that isn't even a one-off event. There are multiple people who go around slapping these crude penis stickers everywhere.

One of the "respected voices" in this movement got herself booked on a talk show for a "serious debate" just to spent the whole time chanting the word "penis" over and over at the top of her lungs- https://dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5708261/Viewers-slam-appalling-Channel-4-Genderquake-debate.html…

It is mind-blowing to see just how vile and disconnected from reality this whole crowd is, and when you look at who, specifically, says these things, then look up their actual careers, it's unbelievable.

I don't mean "unbelievable" in the sense of "just horrible." I mean you see that a frothing tinfoil hat weirdo screaming absurdities has a regular weekly column in like The Guardian and is a frequent consultant for government policies and your brain goes "this can't be true."
TL;DR- Jake retweets a "debunk" thread about some of JKR's recent tweets, goes on a long, incoheirent rant about other, irrelevant tranny shit (trannies at the olympics, someone slapping a mean sticker in a public place and channel 4's "genderquake" debate), sites Wikipedia, shows some of his wank material, all delivered in the usual Jake Alley manner.

Wow - I *hate* to be the one to tell you this Jake, but....

Unless you spring for the 'chopped meat sandwich' made from colon tissue, that's pretty much what you're gonna get - an 'open wound full of hair'.

Is he *really* this clueless about the realities of what SRS results are actually like? I'd have thought that he spends so much time 'researching' this stuff and rubbing his gnome-clit over it, that he'd have by now a realistic idea of what's the case.

Mind you, isn't this the guy who, until recently, didn't even believe that SRS was a 'thing' asides from 'minor cosmetic touch ups' to what the tiddy skittles brought about? And that SRS was some kind of TERF black propaganda?

What the fuck does this guy *really* believe in that bald misshaped head of his, I wonder? I'd love to know.

We're talking about a guy who thinks rubbing some gel on his thighs magically turned him Sailor Moon style into a real life Jessica Rabbit, and that roving gangs of lesbians are out raping transmen to turn them cisgender. Jake is more clueless than Cher Horowitz. :story:

This is what I love about the guy. It’s not just that he’s smug, it’s not just that he’s wrong, it’s that he’s wrong in ways that anyone who has a single clue about anything can see are wrong. He’s the Comical Ali of Twitter. Comical Alley. It’s particularly entertaining when he invents antagonists like this, because it gives us the incredible sight of a man losing an argument with figments of his imagination.
