"Becky" Rebecca Williams & Williams Clan - White Trash At Its Best

]
Nope, it's a meme from the videogame Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. The game starts with a funeral cutscene where you are prompted to "press F to pay respects". It was widely mocked for it's absurdity and subsequently became a meme.

Thanks so much!

Honestly couldn't make it out at all, was trying to think of words for 'condolences' or whatever that would begin with 'F'

My son actually has that game but I've never given it two looks - and yea I agree it does sound kinda absurd!

Hopefully the "life long partner" mention will give @FrazzleCakes some ammo against him in court, or a way to get him to pay. I don't think the court will look fondly on the lies he told.

I just realized, now that becky moved, she's probably not going to get to her pill mill often enough. Being off meds at this time is going to be catastrophic.

Amber isn't going to be there for Becky (or Destiny), narcs aren't able to do that. They turn anyone's pain back into a spotlight for herself. Remember when Norma was first diagnosed with Cancer, and amber was sobbing her eyes out constantly, and becky had to pick up her pieces, when it was BECKY's mom going through Cancer. Becky's going to end up having to console Amber over her own tragedy.

I don't know why Norma needs to lie "in state" for 4 hours before the funeral, when they're already having a visitation the day before. Isn't visitation just another word for viewing, or a less spirited version of a wake?
Destinys cat ran away and without missing a breath exclaimed how they got a new couch..she doesnt have one ounce of empathy.

Fuck me, Norma was 54?? Man, Misty Williams is going for gold with her cancer curses.
Norma was a complete arse, but I can't say I've ever wished death on her. Shite mum or not, she was still Becky's mum and I bet the girl doesn't know what to do with herself - new home, no Eric & Rickie, no "creature comforts."
I have to say, I find it particularly infuriating that the move and Amber's hysterectomy happened mere days before Norma's death: you know that Becky was going through absolute hell and I can absolutely guarantee you that Amber only talked about herself and how bad her life is while Becky was having an internal meltdown.
I feel like it's going to go two ways with Becky: most probably, she'll go full benzo zombie and coil into her shell as tightly as possible, bottling up all of her grief and anger and hissing at Amber from afar, or, I have an awful feeling that she may seriously hurt herself. She's got a track history of making stupid choices, and all of the things that have happened over the past few weeks may just tip her over the edge.
I sincerely hope she gets the help she needs and has someone to vent to before she hits her boiling point. As stupid as these cows are, I'd hate to see the next mention of Becky be her obituary.

Ever notice how Amberlynn never shuts up about how generous she is, about how she is constantly buying things for other people and most recently, about donating all her worthless plastic shit to Goodwill? Nobody ever brags about how good of a person they are unless they're a fucked up narc.

Lots of people give Becky shit, but although she is 100% responsible for the mess she now finds herself in, I can understand why she's so codependent on Amber (apart from just wanting a "free ride"). Depression kills your motivation to do pretty much anything, and she seems like the typical doormat who has no self-esteem and no clue how to assert herself, I. E. the perfect victim for someone like Amber. Although she hates everything about her life, she'll likely feel like she doesn't have the energy to make a change or that saying "no" will be pointless anyways. Sometimes people like her snap out of it and realize that people only walk all over them because they allow them to, and at least make an attempt to grow some balls. It'll be tough for Becky though. AL did a great job isolating her from everybody who used to care about her, and it's hard to get your life back on track when you have zero support.

We’re growing, slowly and quietly but surely. Getting ready for the snap.

Norma was abusive, ignorant, redneck trash and the word has lost nothing with her death. It really goes to show just how desperate Necky is to be loved, that she cared about the homophobic cunt who kicked he out onto the streets when she came out, but had no issue with her other daughter fucking and marrying a parade of pedophiles and re.tards. She only started to 'care' about Necky and Amber when she realized Amber was making the big Youtube bucks. I know Necky buys into this "family comes first" narrative that gets trotted out by abusive family members, but maybe now that the bitch is dead she can start coming to terms with things realistically. :optimistic:

Wasn’t it rumoured that amber was the one who let the older cat out to escape so she could get a new kitten? I remember seeing a few people saying that a while back on YouTube, and apparently amber was told she couldn’t get a new cat because of the elderly cat so she let the elderly one out.

Yeah obviously we can't confirm that but it was immediately speculated. I don't know if Amber is that vicious but she sure didn't give a shit and wasted no time getting a shiny new cat so I get why people think it.

Is it normal for southern hicks to have their own cemeteries? Fat Amber got a mention, I'm sure she's happy.

I'm late, but in rural areas it is extremely common to have small family cemeteries on the family's farms or property. For many rural, southern people (generational farmers, etc) they spend their entire lives living in the same home or very close by so it makes sense to have a cemetery there as well. It is also legal in Kentucky for families to have home burials. As for the obit, I thought it was standard practice in the US to have the partner's names in parenthesis.

Poor Becky, that's all I've got to say. Her self-esteem must be tragically low to put herself through what she does. I know a lot of people don't like her, and rightfully so, but she doesn't deserve this.

Misty can go next the same way for maximum possible irony and it would be kind of deserved after her spiteful wishes towards those who found her mom's behavior unsavory in this life. 54 is young but she was a great grandparent already so she's already populated the future with her dumb spawn more than enough to warrant some pruning of the family tree to even things out for the rest of us. Yes, that's cold, but whatever, kiwifarms is going to get blamed for it eventually probably so I'm just trying to get ahead of the curve.

Makes me think there's something in the fucking water from those abandoned mines down there tbh

Putting the spouse's name in parentheses is the norm but I think they were referring to putting a boyfriend/girlfriend in there when they're not married.

I don't think that's a "Southern" thing so much as a sign of changing cultural norm: marriage rates have gone down and there are more people who spend years in a non-marriage relationship with someone, possibly even having children with them and buying a house and doing all the other things ordinarily associated with marriage. Decades ago, you wouldn't put someone's girlfriend/boyfriend in the obituary because a girlfriend/boyfriend typically wasn't a close member/friend of the family—if you wanted to have a closer relationship with someone and be a part of their family, that was what marriage was for.

I'm more curious about this reference to Jerry as Norma's "life-long partner" when she had previously been married to different people and was supposedly married to Jerry. That may have just been an error on the part of whoever wrote the obit.
Actually it is inappropriate to list the names of girlfriends/boyfriends without clarifying that's what they are, usually "partner" or whatever you want to call them. The parenthesis around a name have always meant spouse and used just so it's clear who is the blood family and who is the in-law in the obit. (Some people didn't bother with parenthesis and listed the spouses of married children the same as their children, but usually included maiden names for DIL) People not legally married that were close to the family usually got a special acknowledgement at the end. Family should be listed in birth order as well.

A not-well-known origin of newspaper published obit were as quasi-legal documents. Since the newspaper was a public forum, a death announcement served to notify creditors who might want to file a claim against the deceased's estate. (Also let people know who might be coming into a large estate or inheritance. ) So the way things were formatted were to let the public know who might legally be entitled to the estate of the deceased - so if you weren't legally married you didn't much matter in that respect.

(Anyone actually interested in the subject The Dead Beat: Lost Souls, Lucky Stiffs, and the Perverse Pleasures of Obituaries by by Marilyn Johnson is a really fascinating read.)

Hmm I'd think that is made up at least somewhat of people old enough to have worked in said mines? Or are they just a bunch of deathfat chain smokers who eat a lot of processed/smoked meats? Maybe because a lot of them burn their trash in areas too rural to have garbage pickup? Living in buildings with asbestos because they were too poor to upgrade them properly or at all once the mines closed up? I seem to remember a major coal sludge spill happening in Kentucky years ago but it didn't get much airtime because the BP oilspill happened a few years later. One incident, but it points to there being all kinds of places that can't be arsed to ensure their dump sites aren't leaking that shit into the groundwater since in the middle of nowhere they probably hardly check.

(Googled it before posting and yeah it was called the Martin County sludge spill and happened in 2000 but there was other shit in the news then and because it's rural and the people are poor it wasn't a big story naturally)

Becky is white trash descended from white trash. Everyone has problems. Most people do not "solve" them by moving in with a great big ball of a fat so they can sit around playing with finger paints and child-safe scissors. You can and should hate the other people that have been in Amber's life, but at least they had some goals and aspirations.

Becky is a remora. She latches on to someone to eat their poops. That is how she expects to get by. She and Amber did not meet at some lesbian hot sex party for sexy lesbian dykes (no girldick allowed!). Becky found a big fat whale and attached herself to it. If anything, Amber is too good for Becky and people should be happy when Amber finally rids herself of that parasite.
