Outflow has dropped again from 37,300 to 37,200. Still small amounts and as mentioned, likely a rounding issue. But with the reservoir still rising slowly it seems strange to continue to slow the rate of drainage.

Fun fact: this event has taught me how to spell "reservoir" without looking it up.

The gates are clogged with trash from ruined cities upstream.

Its a real struggle going on to save the dam because they are having to probably close gates and clear them.

God what a shitshow. I bet entire cars are getting stuck. This sucks for your averaged redpilled chinamen just eeking out a living.

Don't blame cloudseeding for this. The Chinese cloudseeding program exists because of semi-regular droughts that have led to the Huang He essentially drying up due to excessive use of its water (shitty irrigation channels and other bad engineering doesn't help either). It's success is dubious at best since China will still get nailed with severe droughts.

why do chinks relay vital information with fucking tiktok music blaring? when historians look through video archives they're going to find this, blow that dam already

I've been having an ongoing debate with a couple local people about what constitutes a true Black Swan event; one thinks it was the Fentenyl Floyd protests, and the others are going with COVID.

My money is on a 3GD collapse (or at least massive flooding to avoid it).... and they had absolutely no idea that shit's even going on right now. And these are people who at least get news from sources other than cable news or Drudge.

Nassim Taleb seems to think neither coronavirus nor the 2008 crisis were actual black swans.. because they had been foreseen and people warned about them, I guess.
Going by that logic Floyd protests would be the black swan and the dam wouldn't because people have been warning about the dam for awhile. I guess nobody knows what is a "real" black swan except Nassim.

In the case of COVID, it's pretty obvious, since he literally describes acute global pandemic as being a White Swan event in his book. Pandemics are inevitable, even if you don't know the exact disease, and it's entirely possible to plan a response to them. The dam is arguably the same situation; it's definitely possible that a dam can fail, and it's definitely possible to develop a plan for what to do when it happens.

The Floyd protests are a little messier, since the circumstances preceding them made rioting something that was entirely possible (some of us, self included, had been mentioning it in the COVID thread as far back as April), but I don't think the exact way things went down was predictable at all. Rioting, sure, but the statues getting taken down, the TV shows getting censored, every corporation on the planet seemingly pledging their support? Not even kinda how I would've expected the lockdown rioting to turn out. I'd say it's the closest of the three.

Im seeing open revolt against the CCP on what videos are getting out

People are livid
And you aren't posting those videos... why?

Just as a friendly reminder, make sure you download everything you see. Null is nice enough to give us ample space to upload mirrors to the forum. He even made this simple tutorial:
Media from China should always be downloaded and archived, even if you can't upload it right away. Information from China loves to vanish suddenly and never return.
If you're on a phone there are websites you can use to grab video as well. But I don't use them so I can't offer you a link.

Meanwhile: Inflow is still increasing at a steady pace while outflow remains variable and on a slight decline.

So what are multiple black-swan events going off at the same time called?

I'd say 2020 is the Year of the Black Swan

COVID-19 is very much a black swan event in that while pandemics are a predictable thing, the fact is that nobody predicted that a devastating pandemic like coronavirus would shut down the global economy. The last pandemic was H1N1 which was easily managed and didn't result in lockdowns and the Ebola epidemic in 2014 was largely a false alarm unless you lived in West Africa.

The last "black swan event" major pandemic was HIV/AIDS in the 1980's, which has a completely different kind of dynamic than COVID-19 or common influenza.

If 3GD does burst, it'll be another black swan event since it will shatter the notion of China's inevitable rise to dominance.

The BLM Coup is less of a black swan event and more of a consequence of one. I honestly think the George Floyd riots wouldn't have gotten as bad were it not for the COVID-19 lockdowns and the major companies backing the DNC going into panic mode and endorsing this mass uprising

>Be chinese
>Deal with the aftermath of a biblical flood in your area, damage easily goes in the 7 digits region just by looking around you
>On your way you've seen civilian rescue units searching for missing pepole coming and going constantly, chaos everywhere
>Whip out your phone to film everything from a decent vantage point, to make sure the world can see how damaged everything is
>Put it on Tiktok and double check to make sure you added cinderblock-tier generic happy EDM title #165415346

No matter how I look at it that's an impressive feat of nihilism in my opinion, i gotta commend them for that.
