If the court were open and hearing cases, any member of the public could walk in and get the same amount of access for 'recon' without having to file any suit. I would suspect with the court house (if it is/was open) under siege every night there would be extra scrutiny to any one who was entertaining it, being a party to an active case would give them a "legit" cover story. Then they try to go to some gaming forum and typically use the gamertag as their username so they're identifiable. And at this point, it's become habit to use the same handful of usernames everywhere so your friends from school can find you in game, and your forum friends can find your twitch/youtube/instagram/whatever.

Young people are taught that they can learn everything they need to know in their high school classrooms, experience doesn't matter, leading to a lot of young people who think they already figured out everything about how the world works, so they refuse to learn not to dox themselves because their teachers didn't tell them not to, they're too dumb to learn without being explicitly told by an authority figure, and they're strongly encouraged to do so by peers and social media.
