Stan is saying here that Monica had an agreement for the con to pay for her trip and that she expected the con to pay for Ron's trip too...

Isn't it actually commonplace for conventions to not pay for another person's ticket if they're not invited by the con owner/in the industry themselves? Think it was Stan or the guy from HawaiiCon (or is it the same guy?) on Nick's show who brought it up once he had someone tell him they'll go to his convention only if they could pay for their spouse/fiancé/whoever as well, and he said they couldn't.

ETA: Apparently this person was talking about the Lynn Hunt and Whitney Alba affidavits, which both basically boil down to "Vic was trying to molest little girls at these cons but we did not actually witness ourselves and only heard about and have no one to corroborate our stories. Also he's a big mean diva."
Lynn's affidavit is also the famous "he was banned from this con in '04 [even tho he would be back in '05 and '07 and I was just a pleb and had no reason to be savvy to the inner knowings of the invites]"
