There is not a single place on earth, I know of, where not only are you publicly expressing the type of pornographic material you are looking at, but you're connecting it to your identity. It's a very liberal concept.

The conservative way of being for the past several hundred years where people were so obsessed with being religious, where secular thought could result in an execution, where it was the law that you had to go to church... that's been broken. And people are expressing their sexuality in ways they never have.

But outside of the furry fandom, where can you find people who are open enough to reveal their own personal fetishes and being willing to tie it into their identity? This is not only very individualistic, but highly taboo. This is extremely taboo. The idea of a favorites list is very taboo. The idea of an F-list is taboo.

But so many here take it for granted. The idea of shame of ones expression of fetishes and pornographic tastes is foreign to many furries. But of what value is that shame? What value is it?

Is it that you can show how superior you are in your public professionalism, that if you pretend to be Holier then thou, you can be like.. the Pope and only shit gold nuggets because everything you do is so damn important.

What source of shame has society subscribed to and when will they unsubscribe to it? Dare I say the fandom has progressed beyond the point of shame to an ideal state where someone can say:

"Oh, you're a macro furry? Okay, cool."

Somehow this is extremely bad to some people. Some people believe that the ideal is prudishness. The ideal is the "I shit gold nuggets and that's all you'll ever know about me" mindset. It's wild that this fandom has grown to have such a liberal attitude on pornography and sex, but everyone accepts it so automatically without a single thought as to if it's right or wrong.

With the disproportionately huge amount of atheist and agnostics in the furry fandom, obviously we're immune to most of the prudish propaganda that our parents were given. They might have hidden their playboy collection in a hole in the wall and just expected it to be that way for eternity.

Well now furries are drawing "playfox" posting it online, and then telling other people they like and faved playfox. It's just not even understood for how novel it is. It's not even understood how unique it is. It's not even understood how moral it is.

I think our best measure of morality is if our current actions result in the destruction of our future goals, the goals or others, as well as the answer to the question "How have my actions effected and affected myself and others?"

For example, you can have a job that makes you a millionaire, but cry alone in the bathroom everynight because you are miserable about how you gave up on your dreams and missed the opportunities you once had. How can you call yourself moral if your actions have lead you to misery in the end? I see affect as an important, but not sole measure or morality.

So that leads us to "favorites". That leads us to pornography. That leads us to openness of fetishes. We have to look at this all and ask ourselves "How is this connected to immorality in any way?"

We just simply accepted for a long time that religion and morality go hand in hand. Even propagandists like Ben Shapiro bring anti-atheists who preach that an atheist can never be moral all the time. The idea that the child-molesting 51% of Catholic Priests can possibly be any more moral then the majority of atheists is laughable. If you know a Christian who acts like Christ, God bless you because I fucking don't.

The fandom attracts me for it's individualism, but also it's liberal laissez-faire attitude to the alternative expressions of ones sexuality.

A prudish furry I knew a decade ago looked at pornography on her FA subscriptions and told me she thought that those who made pornography were probably psychologically damaged and eventually left the fandom because they thought the fandom was too sexual.

Too sexual? I'd say that's another way of saying "not prudish enough".

Studying my history, and even current laws I've learned that mankind are sick disgusting vermin. They create Religion so that they can stop all the raping, murdering, and chaotic powergrabs mankind do NATURALLY only to later use Religion to justify raping, murdering and chaotic powergrabs. We forget that our closest DNA ancestors: chimpanzees, also do raping murdering, and chaotic powergrabs... we just don't hear about it much because we're too distracted by the funny faces they make in the zoo all the time.

So what is the final evolution? Is it a world where people can talk about their fetishes in public without worrying about offending the sensibilities of others? Is it a world where people can express their sexual urges in RPs, rather then doing so by raping the wives of the dead soldiers in a war they fought, as mankind of all races have been doing so since the beginning of history? Is it a favorites list where people can say "So that's what they like. That's fine, I won't judge them to be degenerates for having a favorites list that I don't like"?

It's only natural for atheists to question morality and to question those who pretend to practice the highest morality. But is a favorites list normal? I'd say it's unique and completely abnormal. But also, completely healthy and within the fandom, normalized.
