I agree generally but these girls make being fat their core purpose of existing. A lot of these fat activists live metalives: their lives are about their lives. Since they talk about how fat they are and how proud to be fat, it shouldn’t surprise Tess or Virgie that they end up attracting feeders or fat fetishists. They hope that they land conventionally attractive men but in reality them talking about all their excess adipose tissue attracts the freaks that find it hot.

Having said that, Tess is never going to attract men outside of that group because she brings nothing to the table in a relationship. She won’t date any man as fat as she is. I did some digging and found a pic of the dude she was with before Nick. I’m pretty sure she met him on tumblr as well. I believe his name was Mark. This was in her rockabilly pinup era. Which EVERYDAMN TUMBLR thot was sporting (me included) haha. As mentioned before he was Canadian and visited her a few times. This possibly was the “feeder” she talked about in that interview I read.
