NASA stopped being a relevant, pioneering organization of space-travel some years ago - granted, a void in funding contributed heavily to this fact but overall NASA has outright fucking stagnated and still appears to be stuck in the remnant of their 70's-90's prime in some places; being that muH SoCiaL JuStiCe tends to happen a lot when in-the-clouds astronomers and intellectuals who have next-to-no awareness of actual social issues, social theory, or political theory (they are fucking astronomers: scientists relating to the fucking stars, planets, solar systems, and everything there-in - when they have grounds in political theory and the issues of the mass, along with most intellectuals screaming for the left, it all gets fucked up.) inject themselves into issues like this, it's overall unsurprising.

I want to reemphasize my belief that Guffey is the best little mountain community anywhere. This is mainly due to Guffey’s people, who are among the most decent, caring and non-racist of any I’ve ever known. Guffey’s community spirit is second to none.
I first came to Guffey several years ago because of my dog Niki, who needed a good doctor. Friends told me there was an excellent vet in Guffey, which led us to Dr. Amy Mason. They were right. Niki loved Dr. Amy and lived a long and good life thanks in large measure to her.
Dr. Amy told me that Guffey had a great little Fire and EMS Dept — she was right about that — and that I needed to volunteer there and also join the local email list she had started years earlier. Dr. Amy also told me about Guffey’s world class community charter school, which needed a reading dog for their new canine reading support program.
Amy Mason would have made a darn good Army recruiter. Before long Niki and I were busy with a lot of Guffey stuff. Learned to drive a fire truck and help our EMTs under the tutelage of Chief Farmer and LT Michelle. Got to know the great students and teachers at Guffey School. Met a wonderful librarian named Rita who works overtime to help us stay cultured and fit. Tremendous experiences for both Niki and me
Met another terrific Guffeyite, Ric Turley, who had built a modern IT framework to run the ‘friends of Dr Amy’ list, which had grown to over 500 subscribers and overwhelmed Amy’s system. Ric would have made a good assistant Army recruiter to SGT. MAJ. Mason. So here I am, admining GuffeyShares.
Up to now it’s been mostly rewarding. Learned to write some interesting new code; have much more to learn. We’ve had a few disgruntled subscribers but nothing major. I generally try to ignore disagreeable politics. As did a lot of civil society Germans in the 1930s and bourgeois Russians in 1917. For their civility and reticence they got Hitler and the Nazis, and Lenin, Stalin and the Bolsheviks. And millions of dead along with decades of suffering in the Gulags. Under two separate but brutal socialist systems.
So I’m not going to just ignore the ugly politics of ‘divide and conquer‘ and identity politics this year. Time to say enough is enough, like that lady mayor in Atlanta did after ‘Black Lives Matter’ thugs shot and killed the 8-year old boy in his mom’s car last weekend.
The statement “Black lives matter,” is a declarative sentence that few would argue with. The organization or ‘movement’ called ‘Black Lives Matter’ (title case) or simply ‘BLM’ is an entirely different issue. One can totally agree with the straightforward 3-word statement while recoiling in horror from what the BLM _organization_ is trying to achieve, from its anti-law enforcement mission to its support for violent insurgency in our cities. I would recommend anyone uncertain of whether to support the BLM movement to read their “What We Believe” web page (https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/). Excerpt, quote:

Fathers are never mentioned on BLM’s “What We Believe” page. Family, mothers, brothers, sisters, “comrades“ and “trans folks” are all mentioned, but never fathers. Apparently BLM doesn’t believe in fathers.
This is not an organization that cares about constructive progress. It clearly disdains western civilization, with our Greco-Roman and Judeao-Christian traditions.
BLM has more in common with Sendero Luminosa and the Sandinistas than with Dr. Martin Luther King’s Freedom Marchers of the 1960s. It’s a Trojan Horse being pulled along by what my Croatian and Serbian friends called ‘Koristne Budale’ — useful fools — the well meaning Yugoslav liberals who threw in with Josip Tito after WWII. It took almost 40 years to correct that mistake.
So to those well meaning people who see virtue in supporting this organization, with respect I am not apologizing for not supporting the BLM _movement_. Along with many good people in Guffey, I care too much for all our lives, and especially for the future of kids like the great GCCS students Niki helped with reading, to support an insurrectionist movement aimed at destroying this imperfect but still great nation.

I could understand catch and release for the first night or two of rioting, but this has been going on for weeks and the people who get arrested keep on coming back, they need to start holding the people they arrest and/or give them a bail among that is high enough they won't violate bail conditions (i.e. stay the fuck away from the "protests")
It depends on state (and local) laws, some places will charge you with murder for doing it outside of your house, and with how cucked Portland/WA is, I would suspect it would only be a kangaroo court and "Self defense" would not be honored.
I used to be for allowing felons to vote, but with all this shit, nope, maybe if they were a first time offender, after all jail time, and patrol conditions are met, and they can prove they have been reformed. After that hell no.
