DSPs chat is a vortex of autism with a surprising sense of community.

Most are trolls (at least a good 50%) and even the ones who aren’t openly, overtly hostile has been banned at one point.

What makes it even more bizarre is that some of the mods are also tractors, so you sometime have one mod banning people, and anyone mod sneaking them in through the backdoor later.

I got randomly gifted a sub on my sock, sometimes its good to have a sock and play along with chat to manipulate the status quo. DSP gets mad when his chat is arguing and not paying attention to him. You gotta stir up just enough trouble to raise a question to the chat and then dip before your sock gets banned.

He would've gotten that money from the gifter regardless. The sub just would've gone to someone else. People have gifted big-name streamers subs to DSP. Getting subbed to him just happens when one of his tards goes on a binge.

That said, it doesn't mean you go into his chat, say something that gets you banned, and then come on here and admit to it.

That's a fair argument but at the end of the day he's going to get subs no matter what because his fans are absolutely braindead. My one random sock getting gifted won't really make a difference. If anything its his braindead fans wasting more of their money. If he can be inconvenienced at least, I consider it worth it.

During the latest Paper Mario stream, which only now I'm catching up on, Derich writes in the chat "Thanks for 4 and a half great months of amazing vest streak!".
To which DSP replies "You're welcome!".

Obviously, Derich directed his comments towards the viewers and contributors, but Phil's ego wouldn't let them have it.

This happens quite a bit for Phil: His gameplay is super boring (often because he’s playing on a low difficulty level), so the chat basically tries to have some fun and start shooting the shit with each other.

Everyone is chill and has a pahsitive time...

Until Phil notices they aren’t talking about him and his shitty gameplay and starts bitching about it and throws out a few bans.

It’s so weird, I’ve never seen another streamer act like this.

I like especially that he's annoyed in the first clip because no one is prepared to carry him through the next part of the game. If you are in Phil's chat you'd better be ready at any moment to be called upon to give him money, get him through the game he's playing, or both. Phil doesn't have fans. Phil has employees.

The relationship between DSP and his whales is closer to slavery rather than that of an employer/employee relationship. They work for him, to give him money and don't get paid for it. He sometimes offers them arbitrary "rewards" that aren't all that great and are only an opportunity for them to give him more money. They even compete to see who can be massa's favorite, decided by who can suck up or donate the most.

Most of them appear like they tried leeching off of Phil's popularity to build their own streaming career and online persona. Which is just lol in so many ways. Although, it has eventually evolved to the biggest cucks getting the spot.
