Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Mistaking "million" with "thousand" when you're speaking can easily happen. If you are president and don't even know when a major world event happened (that only was 80 years ago), you're either senile or incredibly stupid

Probably a major reason for not picking Rice is that she hasn't paid her dues. She's never held elected office, just been a staffer to a President. The Democrats (and Republicans until recently) have been all about needing to climb the party ladder through multiple offices before you can get a presidential shot.

Now Trump's set a new example of someone who came from outside politics to win the presidency and take over a party. If that happens to the Democrats then all the work the big Dems have put in brown-nosing for decades becomes worthless. That's a big reason that Bernie will never be allowed to win. They have to preserve the party hierarchy or the party falls apart.

Twice? Without immediately realizing how wrong "about half the U.S. population died from guns" or "almost half the U.S. population died from COVID" sounds?

And I don't believe we were up to 120,000 COVID deaths when Biden made that gaffe.

The first two paragraphs in and Joe Biden's forgetfulness has already spread to the media, good lord. Either that or we're going to see spinning that even becomes obvious for Democratic voters.
