It's not just social sciences anymore. You'd be surprised at how pervasive this has become within the fields of anthropology and paleontology, too.

I first discovered it when I read Skeleton Keys, a book about paleontology. I expected interesting anthropological fun-facts, got pages upon pages of "osteological gender" sperging instead. The author was mad, MAD, that anthropologists habitually sexed skellies as male or female -- what if the dead person actually identified as non-binary???

Turns out the author was a well-known Twitter-tranny. An out and proud furry, none-the-less. Although, I suppose some level of degeneracy was to be expected.
